Meh

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this place. Giving it two stars is pretty generous.

Sort of positives (?): if you’re a student, it’s a decent option, but honestly, there are better choices. SDSU has Plant Power, but even the Aztec Market would have the same options. The staff was also very friendly, but it’s college students, so most people are pretty friendly on campus.

Cons: This list is long. First, they are at Farmer's Markets. Sometimes I have been told all of the desserts are vegan, and sometimes I have been told some are not vegan. That’s concerning to me. Additionally, they added meat to the menu. When I stopped by this physical cafe today, the vegan options were sparse. There was a section of the menu labeled “vegan,” but I was unable to confirm if certain ingredients were actually vegan and one of the sandwiches marked vegan had brie cheese. The panini was fine; it had lots of veggies, but I was told they were out of vegan mayo, so it was pretty dry. It was the typical (not that I mind but for $12.99 is expensive) hummus sandwich. I understand it’s expensive because it’s on campus, but I could get a better lunch at the market for half the price.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you see a stall somewhere, it may be worth asking if it’s vegan, but I would be careful. For this physical location, you won’t miss much.
