Virtually vegan - Edit
Found this lakeside cafe almost by chance whilst dogsitting nearby. Nearly all their menu is vegetarian and most vegan or vegan option, but they don't make anything of it - vegan by stealth! Enjoyed a tasty breakfast with toast and a hot drink - breakfast £12, tea £2.50. No charge for soya milk. Their lunch menu looks equally good. Next time! Bought a vegan banana, biscoff and pecan blondie and a vegan chocolate brownie to take away for later.

Absolutely amazing vegan cream tea! - Edit
The cafe is alongside a reservoir which has a path all around it - allow about an hour to walk around the lake. There is also a dog exercise field 200 yerds from the cafe. Dogs are required to be on leads around the lake.
Read moreAlthough not fully vegan the vegan options here are highly recommended and I've tried most of them! It is also worth noting that towards the end of the day some items can become unavailable.
The last time we visited we had a vegan cream tea - which had to be pre-booked with a deposit online. This was quite a wonderful offering and very filling! During December the cream tea option is CHristmas themed.

Pros: Excellent vegan cream tea, Plenty of vegan options, Nice place beside the lake.
Cons: Not yet all-vegan; maybe burning flesh smells., £5 car park for all-day or £2.50 for two hours., Now has number plate recognistion in the car park.

Superb Vegan Options - Edit
They have a large choice of vegan options and really know what vegan means. I went for lunch here with 9 other vegans and we all had really delicious lunches. The dish I had was 'Mustardy Mushrooms' and Roast New Potatoes which were all flavoured and cooked freshly to perfection. There were 5 choices of sweet treats for afters and choice of plant milks for tea and coffee. Service was quick, friendly and polite and thr cafe itself really bright and clean.

A good range of vegan options and plant based milks for coffee etc ( the coffee is excellent). The setting by Sibly Back lake is stunning and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are very helpful and friendly. A bit off the beaten track but we’ll worth a visit when combined with a walk round the lake.

Before a walk around the very nice lake we had some really nice coffee and cake here. They also do some good looking sandwiches, like a Thali wrap and a vegan fish finger bun.

Great coffee (they just oatly barista which for me is the only choice for a good latte) and freshly made cakes/sweet options. There are more vegan options than dishes that include meat (fyi, I believe bacon is the only meat they do - for sandwiches and on the non vegan breakfast, which also has eggs).
Read moreVegan owned I'd LOVE to see these guys go 100% vegan. Where they are they have a monopoly and I think they have the reputation to pull it off without anyone non vegan really noticing! Then Happy Cow would allow 5 stars!

Excellent Lakeside Vegan Café - Edit
Tucked away, but worth the trip off the beaten track. Nutritious, tasty and filling lunch menu and cakes to live for! Perfect for the healthy appetite that can accompany the love of outdoor activities or spectators of. Would love to award 5 stars as they deserve it and I think it's nice that they don't totally "exclude" meat eaters, although the vegan options clearly dominate the menu enough to prod a carnivorous conscience, or at least plant a seed.... and most deliciously! I can't wait to go back and try the breakfast and, if like me, you're a quality hot chocolate lover constantly disappointed by the lack of availability of a vegan version, I strongly recommend a visit - vegan whipped cream AND vegan marshmallows available, atop a good standard, oat milk hot chocolate - yum! Would like to see more on the menu if they had the resources for expansion without losing any excellence in quality of product or service. Very friendly, accommodating, welcoming staff and efficient service. We'll be back for breakfast (no need to smoke any kippers though!) With the family and probably for the day so we can eat there more than once! 😁 Oh, I liked the children's options too.

Delicious food and drinks (several awards), almost all main meals have vegan options. Friendly, accommodating staff and lovely surroundings beside the lake. Will definitely be back.
