Great food, good service. Breakfast wrap and avocado toast were delicious. Lox bagel was tasty but definitely not the best carrot lox I’ve had. It had a strong carrot flavor. No bathroom and no parking.

We were starving and ordered way too much food but it was worth it: lox bagel, monkey smoothie, tofu poke salad, BLT, and the WAFFLE.

Very welcoming, home-grown, home-made, so tasty and healthy, the opposite end of spectrum to the processed fake meats most vegan 'restaurants' usually focus on. I had the best avocado toast and matcha latte I've ever had! My daughter and her friend had a spectacular wrap and sandwich, the quality of food here is way above the norm. Their house-made cashew-macadamia milk was incredible! This place is a real gem, and the folks working there were delightful.

Is human hair vegan? - Edit
Ate here today and found a hair in my food. Which happens, but gross! The woman behind the counter was super uninterested in hearing about the hair in my food. She did not apologize or offer to substitute the dish. She just said she would let her cowork know. Which didn't solve my problem - my $14 bagel with "lox" was inedible due to having a human hair in it.
Read moreOverall, the food here is fine. Expensive, but they offer some unique dishes like vegan lox. The store is clean and well lit. There's parking behind Jazz Minds or in the target garage. There isn't a bathroom which is annoying, but again, Target is right there. The service is indifferent. And check your food for hair!

Pre-bottled juice and a grilled cheese that was made in an oven. There are better choices nearby such as the Foodland grocery store where you can buy things. Or even the Whole Foods.

I walked in and I immediately felt safe knowing that everything is vegan. The staff are lovely and you can tell everything is made with love. The coffee is great and the bagel with the vegan salmon is amazing.

I stayed at the nearby Ala Moana Hotel and had breakfast here 3-4 days in a row. I really loved the macadamia nut-pesto avocado toast, and the açaí bowl was filling. The BLT was a small sandwich and with a latte each time, you can’t get out of there for under $20. Seems all of Honolulu is pricey as ever with inflation and island economy dynamics.

I was on Oahu for 5 days and my friend and I ate here 3 days in a row. It’s very good food, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick. During our time in the area we ordered the breakfast sandwich (twice), the hummus wrap, the waffle, and the lox bagel. I also ordered a latte made with soy and vanilla Mac nut milk and on another day an iced mocha with soy. There was plenty of seating when we arrived. Parking can be difficult but we managed to find it each day we were in the area and there is no bathroom on site. I always enjoy supporting vegan establishments and highly recommend the Olena Cafe.

Expansive Menu Nice location - Edit
The cafe is in a nice part of downtown with some indoor seating available. It can get pretty busy so be prepared to grab take out if seating is limited. Parking can be a hassle, they have two spots occasionally available just past the cafe or you can park at the nearby Ala Moana parking lot. We love the waffles, the lox bagel, the sunrise smoothie, and the mac-nut pesto toast. Definitely recommend grabbing a coffee while you’re there as well!
Read moreUpdate: There have been multiple times when staff will come late so arriving near opening time can be risky. Just be prepared to wait if this happens. Last time this happened my husband had to wait an extra 30min past opening time which is why I dropped some stars.

Tried two things. Bagels were amazing, but they gave me half made waffles. I had to get up and ask about the rest of ingredients and was just told they were out. Should’ve told me that before putting the food in front of me as the meal did not work without the missing ingredients and was very disappointing.

I asked if the Breakfast Sandwich was vegan. The employee stated everything was vegan, which is not true because they use honey. The sandwich was a house-made chickpea frittata patty, house bacocon, sautéed kale and Chao cheese on sprouted multi-grain bread with garlic aioli. It was fine, but nothing special. My partner said the Breakfast Wrap tasted like it had been made earlier and then reheated.

Really yum food and decently priced ☺️ I had the breakfast sandwich, which had a chickpea pattie, vegan cheese, coconut bacon and greens (and aioli). It was really flavourful and delish 😋😋 I would definitely visit again!

Had a delicious green smoothie that was really fresh. I also had a carrot lox bagel that was super tasty, especially the house cream cheese 🤩 but unfortunately had white onion instead of red onion which was a bit strong and I removed a fair portion of it. My order took almost 20 mins to make despite being the only customer there which was no drama but helpful to know if you’re in a rush!
