Would give 5 stars if I could. They have a separate vegan menu with even more options than the website, including substitutes for all the main course meat options. The sunset over the water was almost as beautiful as the dancing, and the service and performances were top notch. Highly recommend the pulled oyster mushrooms, breadfruit hummus, and seitan steak with mushroom sauce. Mahalo!

Separate vegan menu! Great hula show - Edit
Lovely hula show with all inclusive bar and the option to get a fully vegan dinner. Well worth it! Our server was excellent and you get a high quality lei upon arrival.

Incredibly creative and thoughtful vegan meal - Edit
This was hands-down the best fully vegan meal I have had at a non-vegan restaurant. We went with non-vegans and did not feel like we missed anything at all.
Read moreWe had lots of taro, smoked and salted oyster mushrooms, watermelon poke (which our server accurately described as “bomb.com”) and even a super delicious haupia-cream dessert. It was really refreshing to go somewhere and be served creative veggie dishes and not just a bunch of fake meats. Although they did have a homemade seitan patty which was super delicious.
On top of the food being incredible, our server was so sweet and knew the Vegan menu well, describing everything to us in detail.
Would definitely recommend to any vegans or vegetarians looking for a fantastic and special luau experience with lots of aloha!!

Amazing experience and amazing food - Edit
The best luau in Maui. More educational experience than any other, I've been told. Almost a dozen different types of hula we're demonstrated and explained, from the arrival of Polynesians to the island to the arrival of Captain Cooke in the 1770s to present day. The chef told us that he put a lot of effort into making the vegan option as comparable to the omnivore option as possible and it really showed. A beautiful experience!

We attended the Luau on December 17, 2024. I was so surprised by the amazing attention to detail, authenticity, and flavor the chef invested in creating a vegan meal for the outstanding Luau. Each item of food made vegan, matched the items they serve the table of non vegans, using seitan, tofu, mushrooms, eggplant, etc to replicate the dish. It was full of flavor, it resembled the non vegan food, and it was delicious. The whole experience was very well done. Our server Nick was great, the dancers were talented, the atmosphere and setup was beautiful, and I highly recommend Old Lahaina Luau. ( Thank you, Chef!!!)

Amazing experience - Edit
Everything about the experience here was perfect. The show was so well done, everybody was welcoming, and the service was perfect. They made a vegan version of everything on the regular menu, to get it as close to the traditional foods as they could. They were very clear on explaining what was in each dish as well. I would give this 5 stars if I could.

Full vegan menu! - Edit
I was happy to learn that the Old Lahaina Luau offers a full vegan menu. The food was delicious. Our favorites were the hummus dip and watermelon poke. When we booked tickets, we left in the “notes” section that we would both need the vegan menu. I then called the day before to make sure everything was ok (it was). Everyone was so lovely and the food and performances were fantastic. We were very full by the the end of our final course. Also, there isn’t a vegan dessert listed, BUT the chefs gave us some fresh fruit for dessert which was very nice of them!

I’m often disappointed… I expected to just get “extra veggies” but they wow’d me with special options just for me. 5 STARS not 4. Sheesh Cow! There ain’t many options on Maui!

Beautiful sunset! - Edit
Heard nothing but great things about this luau from friends who have come to Maui. My husband and I were not expecting to eat much but wanted to experience the show. Our host, Brandon, was so awesome and kind! When he found out we were vegan, he grabbed a knowledgeable coworker to walk us through all of our options at the buffet. There were plenty of vegan items to fill up our plate, and they were all pretty delicious! Definitely recommend this!
