Capital idea to stay here

We booked this hotel because it was listed on HC, and at the time there was no completely vegan hotel in Bangkok. Notwithstanding this, it was a lovely place to stay and I must say an excellent choice on my part. It is well located near attractions - Wat Saket, Wat Pho and (for better or worse) Khaosan Road. There are buses close by but they’re not always reliable. The nearest vegan cafe is 38 minutes’ walk but that’ll take you near Wat Pho, so it’s worth the trip. We stayed in the Garden Suite (at the back with a sitting area and a bath looking out onto a small courtyard garden. Really beautiful, and accordingly not cheap at ฿3500 a night. We extended our stay for one night and had to stay in the honeymoon suite, which was not so amazing., Because of the structure of the heritage building, you have to go up and down steep stairs to use amenities.. it was still beautifully decorated. Staff were so lovely, friendly and accommodating, as was the owner Jason, who went beyond the call for us. He told me they’d be happy to modify other dishes (beyond the one already-vegan main) for breakfast, but I was actually just happy with muesli, toast, juice and coffee. Plant milks are available. Absolutely recommended.

Pros: Beautiful room, Lovely staff, Good location

Cons: Not completely vegan, Honeymoon suite has steep stairs
