So good!

We ate here for lunch today and it was SO good!! I got the bbq vibs and my husband got the hippie chick burger. Both were incredible! The flavor was wonderful, slightly spicy but not too over the top. I got the jalapeño hush puppies on the side and they were also very good. The service was wonderful and the food was hot and fresh. I’m here from out of town but will 100% be back next time I’m in the area!

Delicious Despite My Dislike

Yummy and ample options for gf. Loved the sweet potato fries (tho you can never go wrong) and mozzarella sticks. Not a big fan of American food but was content with my burger and sides. Messed up my mom's order. (I think they were confused on the gf substitutes.)
Wonderful, tranquil environment and vibe.

Consistently good.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. The only other place that competes is sanctuary bistro, which is an entirely different vibe. There are many amazing vegan restaurants in Charlotte, but this is the quintessential one.

Pros: Excellent, unapologetic experience , Most dishes are legendary , Staff is incredible

Cons: It's not cheap, buy it's fair

A fun place to eat with a lot to offer

Oh My Soul is in a beautiful old house that's been converted into a restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly, and my meal was both interesting and delicious. The dine-in patio they have in the back (their only dine-in option) is spacious and comfortable even on a cold day.

Amazing Food & Atmosphere

During my long weekend visiting Charlotte, this was definitely my favorite food stop! The amount of options they have is amazingly overwhelming! From their brunch or lunch/dinner menu, to their dessert and deli counters, there are so many great foods to choose from.
For dinner I ordered the Grilled Vicken & Friendly Bacon Ranch Wrap ($15) and my dad got the Durbanite Gatsby ($20). While I still believe that all of their menu options are too expensive, the amount of food each item comes with is daunting, which makes up for the price a little. The Wrap went way beyond my expectations in flavor. The fresh greens and creamy ranch dressing mixed throughout easily made it my favorite dish of the trip. It did come with a side and I chose the potato salad. It was very bland and did not match my experience with their other food unfortunately. My dad, an omni, very much enjoyed his food, but even more so the atmosphere.
There is no seating inside of Oh My Soul, but there is a ton available all around the building. There's a giant party tent and heaters in the back, but this could be a little bit of a stretch for winter dining. On the Friday night we visited, there was a great band playing in the tent and a lively crowd spilling into all corners of their lot. Outside you will also find a tiki-like bar if you're interested in any alcoholic drinks. Tables were low top picnic style. The back area was thick gravel, which didn't seem like it would meet ADA compliance and may make seating difficult for those needing those considerations.

Pros: Great Flavor, Large Portions, Lively Atmosphere

Cons: High Prices

Best of the Best

One of my favorite vegan restaurants. Went to the Durban location first in South Africa. Was happy to find they had a location in the states. South African cuisine, all vegan. Everything I've had on the menu was great! Check out the episode I did of Young, Black and Vegan there. I tried plate after plate of food and it was all 🔥 Good vibes at this place. They have like music on certain nights and a bar in the back if you drink #Veganuary

Fave Vegan Joint

This South African vegan joint is always popping. They have a very very long menu of burgers, waffles, shakes, appetizers, baked goods, and overall delights. A great place to take people who aren’t vegan as well as the flavors and spices do NOT disappoint. The staff is exceptional and the food is out of this world. As an order at the counter and receive a number place, everything runs quiet smoothly—even when there is barely any seating room available!! LOVE

Good food but not hot

We stopped here for a quick meal while driving thru Charlotte. As ethical vegans, we really appreciated the in-your-face veganism demonstrated through signs, literature & the t-shirts that the staff wears. I disagree with a previous reviewer who said this wouldn’t be a good place to take non vegans; I’d say it’s perfect and a good way to have a conversation about the hows and whys.
There is a huge menu with a wide range of options. There are healthy options, gluten free option, and lots of fried/junk food options. Really something for everybody.
Unfortunately, everything we ordered was barely lukewarm. Our food arrived pretty quickly so I don’t really understand how it could get cold so fast unless maybe they reheat food that is cooked ahead of time or something like that. We had jalapeño poppers that were totally cold in the middle with no melty cheese , which kinda defeats the purpose. The Buddha bowl was really tasty but not hot. The chick’n & waffles was again pretty cold, which meant that the waffles were not crisp like they should’ve been.
The flavor of the food was good to very good but the fact that everything was cold really was a bummer. I’d still come back & give them another try. Maybe it was just an off day.

Vegans paradise

If you are in town don’t think twice! It’s an awesome place and there’s so many food options. We were not disappointed. The space as a whole gives clear messages in regards to veganism & it may make non-vegans feel uncomfortable so I would be mindful of this. All in all I was impressed the food was so incredible and flavorful 9.5/10! They have a whole food menu, smoothies, a deli & bakery all vegan. Wow just wow

We came back! The nachos are 10/10 throughout the whole time we ate them we kept noticing different flavors and ingredients. Truly incredible and so filling. I ate this with my partner but it could easily be an appetizer for 3-4 people. I also got the mozzarella sticks but they ended up being nothing special unfortunately so I would give those a 4/10. The marinara was super cold and there was a 80 to 20 percent breading to cheese ratio so that was upsetting.

Great spot!

Recently moved to the area and we love that we found a go-to vegan spot with great food & atmosphere. Bit on the pricier side, but I’ll still give 5 stars. They have amazing burgers, wraps, and they just opened their deli - the cheese is AMAZING! Live music in the patio is a bonus.
Shibobo wrap, King Kong and Above & Beyond burgers are some staples.

Great a must try

Great vegan South African food. We order appetizers I can tell you the shrimps and the rolls are amazing a must but they are big. Does Chachalaca sandwich entrée is so good yum and the potato salad is amazing. The desserts wow. Let me not start on the deli meats and cheese made in house. The decor is so cute and eclectic. Also fun fact there is one in South Africa 🇿🇦

Pros: Large Portions , In house scratch made food , Extremely flavorful

Cons: A little pricey

Good variety. Stick to their recommendations

I got the vish. It wasn't very good. Way too thick. Thinner pieces would be better. The vibs were okay. Loved the kale. Loved the strawberry shake.

No thx

I’ll skip it next time. Business owner was really rude. The whole place is pretty weird, including the food, and the aggressively condescending vegan signage made me embarrassed to bring an omni there to eat.

the best EVER

This place is the coolest outdoor seating i’ve ever been to. They had music, fun decor, and even a table with cucumber, watermelon, and lemon water to get. My mom and I shared the chicken bacon ranch wrap and loaded sweet potato w jalapeño hush puppies and kale salad. All were absolutely stunnnnning! This was the second time i’ve been and it was even better than the first!! Ooo and we also had the banana pudding which was HEAVENLY🙋🏼‍♀️💪👏👏i’m very upset that i forgot to take a picture of the food- it was just too good to stare at any longer and not eat

awesome food, pretentious atmosphere, hard to hear staff at all

First and foremost, OMG, the food is awesome. Go there very hungry. Fast if you have to make room. And order a few different things to nibble on. You won't regret it. I had the waka waka with pumpkin fritters and a croissant (every bit as good as those you find in a Parisian boulangerie).

As a vegan I felt welcome and comfortable there. But if I were bringing non-vegan friends to try vegan food, I might feel the need to apologize for all of the kind of militant vegan propaganda hanging all over the place. That part seems a bit not welcoming.

One easy thing to fix: they had loud music playing, but the speakers were positioned near where patrons interact with staff (at the bar, at the order counter). Combined with use of masks, I was struggling to hear anything they were saying. If the speakers are hard to move, maybe just turn the music down. The staff seemed very friendly, but for all I knew they could have been saying unkind things about my mother. I wish I could have heard them and had maybe better conversations about what they recommend.

Pad in extra time for parking and bring good walking shoes.

Also... not wheelchair accessible during my visit anyway.

Pros: food is awesome, upbeat cheery colors

Cons: loud music, $$$, parking

Cool vibes and concept.

We came from out of town and was happy about this for a choice went several times. Had the breakfast sandwich really good, impossible burger tasty! Price is very reasonable. Did not particularly care for any of the fried options they were all somewhat disappointing as far as texture and flavor but all the sandwiches and waffles we had were good!!! I had: Buddha Bowl, Vichen Bacon Ranch Wrap, Impossible Burger, Vichen waffle sandwich, Howzit Bru, Cinnamon Roll, I would order all again; The Jalapeño poppers, Pumpkin Fritters, White Chocolate Ganache probably wouldn’t order again but it wasn’t terrible.

Pros: Lots of options , Good customer service , Tasty food

Cons: Fried options aren’t as good
