Incredible and innovative food - Edit
Our lunch at Offbeet was amazing! Fresh, seasonal, homemade, and creative. I had hummus/squash/mushrooms on sourdough, my husband had tacos, and our 1 year old had a crumpet with a pumpkin seed scramble, which he absolutely loved (the staff were even kind enough to tell us how they made the scramble so we could try and replicate it at home for our baby)

Def get down here. There is no rubbish in the food- it’s all home made and massive variety for gluten free. It’s my absolute favourite place ever and I’ve eaten here loads. They have a garden terrace too. Staff are lovely.

You need to try offbeat, its not possible for me to stress how good the food is! - Edit
I have been to the Southsea location a few times, and have always loved it. They provide innovative solutions to create beautiful and flavour filled dishes.
Read moreAll I can say is, you haven't tried vegan food this creative and delicious!
I recently took with my sister and mum, who are not vegans and are fussy eaters, but they loved the meal. My sister had the orange waffle and hot chocolate and my mum had some type of mushroom sourdough(I think). They both could not stop talking about how great the food and service was. I had the bagel with "salmon", it was a really good meal. I would recommend!
Offbeat really offers great vegan food, if you want a really delicious meal for a great price, you should go here. It should be awarded a Michelin!

The best vegan lunch experience in the area - Edit
We had experienced the Offbeat Restaurant in the New Forest twice, so we knew we were in for a great treat and we weren’t disappointed. We had the Green Shakshouka, the Cream Cheese & Carrot Lox and the Mushroom Katsu Sando, followed by the Jammy Dodger Cake and Coffees. All were delicious and highly unusual especially the Cream Cheese & Carrot Lox. The service was professional and ambiance was lovely. Good pricing too for what you get. It is a dog friendly place and even has a dog menu. However we are not in to dogs..

Perfect café but... - Edit
Let me start by saying that this is probably the coziest café I've ever been to. It's beautifully designed and spread over three storeys. The top room with a terrace is just amazing - I could stay there the whole day.
Read moreThe food is definitely original, however if I'm being totally honest I wasn't wowed, especially by the Japanese mushroom sandwich. I think it was lacking some depth of flavour and perhaps some additional textures (crispy, crunchy etc.)
The desserts were nice but very sweet (chai cookie and blondie). The blackberry and pear cake was great - not dominated by sugar.
I would definitely come back to try the rest of the items on the menu.
I had a matcha latte which was delicious!

Beautiful vegan cafe - Edit
I went for lunch with my husband and our dogs who were warmly welcomed! The building looks amazing, the real plants and decor is lovely. We sat up on the mezzanine with a view over the coffeeshop which was really nice, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly We ordered food and drinks at the counter, which arrived in good time by friendly staff. I am allergic to nuts but staff knew exactly what dishes contained allergens. We had the forest mushrooms on toast and tacos (without the cashew cream) and they were amazing! The sweet options they had displayed at the counter looked delicious and they offered packaged items from their menu, like pancake mix or brownie mix.
Read moreThe prices are more expensive than the average cafe in the area, but you can absolutely see where the money goes. The food is fresh, seasonal, local and it's put together beautifully.
The downside is they're not open later for dinner service. Can't wait to return again
2024: they do occasional evening service now

Pros: 100% vegan, Dog friendly, Seasonal menu

Attractive all vegan cafe - Edit
A bright all vegan café with multiple levels for seating areas. The ground floor is more the coffee shop area and then there are two more floors for having a meal, the top floor even having a balcony. It's a great space although I find the music is up too loud. Sometimes I find that offbeet as a business maybe doesn't have enough 'basic' food on its menu. They are really interested in food and doing interesting things with it, but some people can find that off putting. However the two times I have been to Albert Road Offbeet (now their only venue) I have found something to eat. It is a bit on the pricier side though.

Myself and a family member went here for lunch. We just picked two random things off the menu as we were undecided. Both meals tasted delicious. We couldn’t choose which one we preferred. I also bought a Malteaser blondie to have at home and it was divine! I will defiantly be going back.

Visited for brunch and it was perfect 🫶 beautiful spacious cafe with delicious food and a big range of cakes to choose from. The portions aren’t massive for the price but everything is so tasty. We will be back - hopefully on a day where the sun is shining so we can sit on the terrace!

Heavenly solo brunch date. I have been on a mindful quest to take myself out for lunch/dinner. The staff were super cool and friendly and the surroundings felt so relaxing and inviting. The dosa is a must go back for kinda vibe and the kale crisps. Omg they are just too lush
