Great restaurant forced to close - Edit
This great restaurant has been selling fantastic donuts 🍩 through the lock down but is being forced to close because their products contain sugar. There landlord Barker Mills served them notice on this evenings BBC South Today news program. Fortunately they are allowing Sunnyfields farm shop to continue selling its sugar laden food and drink for the time being.

Great food and atmosphere to match - Edit
We ate here back in August 2020 after wanting to eat somewhere at short notice. We were so pleasantly surprised by the food and the festival like setup of Offbeet. It was sunny when we went so the outdoor seating was perfect but I am guessing they will cater for indoor diners if it rains or is cold. The food was next level AMAZING! You can tell that the chefs have attended the adjoining vegan cookery school. Loved every bite.

The best plant based fish and chips I’ve ever had. - Edit
Came to Southampton to get a bike and found this gem!!! The food was absolutely delicious and all staff friendly and helpful. One of the best vegan places I’ve visited in my life. You can also buy fresh, organic vegetables in the shop next door. Definitely recommend ❤️

Excellent - Edit
Very impressed with our 2 visits here and if we can find time we would love to check it out again before we leave the country. It’s obvious that their is a lot of passion that goes into the creative menu and the staff were all excellent. Due to COVID our food was served takeaway style and although this detracted from the presentation the flavours and taste were still very good. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious - Edit
They’re only doing takeaways at the moment because of Covid. I tried the gnocchi and it was delicious! I also had a slice of toffee cake which was scrumptious. I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re in/near New Forest.

Best vegan food around! - Edit
This is local to us so we go there a lot. The food is fresh, delicious and very inventive. The hot chocolate is the best I’ve ever had. Staff are lovely and friendly. You can also take your dog in and they make ‘pup-cakes’ which they love! Highly recommended in you’re staying in the New Forest on holiday too!

Best vegan restaurant in Hampshire - Edit
Offbeet has never disappointed in the many times I’ve eaten here. While the menu isn’t huge, it’s imaginative, seasonal and absolutely delicious. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is dog-friendly (even providing homemade ‘pupcakes’ for four-legged guests). Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We went for the first time last week and it was amazing. I had the Spanish bubble and squeak and it was so tasty. I’m looking forward to working my way through the menu as well as going to their piazza evening.

Expensive for just cake... - Edit
Drove there for coffee and cake and thought £4.95 for a small slice of cake was a lot of money! Tasted great but so many restaurants do vegan desserts now you can get a much better deal else where...

Innovative Plant-based food - Edit
The food at Offbeet is incredible. The whole menu is vegan. They serve breakfast and lunch in the week with dinner menus on Friday and Saturday nights only. They are dog-friendly and even have little pupcakes (cupcakes for dogs) for sale. They serve lighter bites and snacks such as sticky ‘bacon’ nuts, olives and grilled artichokes as well as bigger meals which change. They have an incredible daily cake selection. On Fridays they do pizza nights. The food is innovative, fresh and exciting. They go big on flavour which is honestly refreshing because I’ve been to many a restaurant that serves frankly bland vegan food. I’ve been three times now, I’ll definitely be back again and again.

Best food ever eaten - Edit
Honestly. I’ve eaten here a few times now and every single time is a DREAM. The last time we visited was Mexican night and I ate so much I thought I was going to burst and regretted absolutely nothing other than being too full for pudding. And after eating a deep fried burrito I didn’t feel all gross and greasy (very full, but not gross) which is amazing. The guac was beautiful, I think the staff heard me praising it in the starter we had and gave us some complementary, the food here is so good I’m taking every one I know that doubts vegan here. It’s also really nice to see the age range of people eating there - noticed it wasn’t just young people but a good range of ages.
Read moreThe little farm shop next door also sells plants and some good vegan options although they do sell meat too, I only mention it as it’s a small local buisness too and we popped back the next day to get some plants and offbeet were open for breakfast and teas/coffees in the morning so we bought cake and croissant to munch on before sorting the garden at home.
Pros: Staff are so friendly , Everything is freshly made and sourced, Pricing
Cons: Pretty much have to travel by car
