New menu: Poor for vegans - Edit
Although there used to be a few vegan options they've been removed. There was a confusing note on top of the burgers list saying although the bread wasn't vegan you could ask for ciabatta plus veggie burger it would be okay. The only veggie burger available though was made from halloumi. I assumed that the note was just accidentally left from the old menu but did ask to double check. It seems this was indeed a typo, as I was told the only thing vegan now were the chips. There was a hummus starter listed and labelled vegan so this wasn't strictly true, but nonetheless if you want a full meal if recommend one of the other great places in the NQ. The menu still has some veggie things and it's a nice enough bar (if a bit pricey).

Food and prices are ok - Edit
They really don't have many vegan options and the burger I had had an interesting taste but they could have put more effort in it. The mango chutney didn't have much taste for example. The fries though had an interesting rosemary seasoning which was nice.
Read moreThe prices were also ok.
Pros: Inexpensive , Good fries
Cons: Only a few vegan options, Burger could have been better

Average Breakfast - Edit
I like Odd for a drink, but found the vegan breakfast to be a bit disappointing. The toast came dry, which I don't think would happen to any non-vegan breakfast orders, and the tofu scramble wasn't seasoned in the slightest. They also didn't have soya milk for hot drinks, which is quite surprising on a Sunday morning. I think it shows that they don't put as much effort into the vegan options/customers as everything else.
Read moreOn the plus side, the breakfast is a good size and the homemade sausages almost make up for the other failings - they're delicious!
Pros: Excellent homemade sausages, Generous portions
Cons: No vegan spread, No soya milk, Bland food

Vegan Breakfast - Edit
It's great to have the option of a vegan breakfast and it does seem like they've made an effort but it's not especially good. The hash brown is good. Homemade burgers and sausages are good but would be going with slightly heavier flavouring imo. Nice bread but no vegan spread and weirdly served with a little packet of (dairy) butter. Scrambled tofu seems to have no added flavouring, just warmed, broken up tofu but is fine is you mix in some salt, pepper and sauce yourself. For the price it's ok but I'd not go out of my way for it.
Read moreI arrived at 11.30am and there was 4 staff and variously 3-5 customers. Because it was so quiet the atmosphere was dominated by the staff just hanging out at the bar. They were lovely but it's was felt over-staffed.

Great music and Vegan breakfast until 4pm - Edit
Although the vegan breakfast was not the best I have had, they had a vegan breakfast, available until 4pm! Great music and relaxed atmosphere (in the artistic Northern Quarter)

Vegan breakfast disappointment at Odder - Edit
If you want a quality vegan breakfast then I'm not sure this is where to find it. Odd's aren't exclusively veggie to be fair so a vegan option is a bonus but if you're out for a treat then you want something that looks appealing and has had some thought put in. Sosages made from scratch were pretty good though!

Cons: Too basic, Small portions

Hot Vimto and a comfy seat - Edit
The Odd bar is a great place in the Northern Quarter. I am always happy to see Hot Vimto on the menu; such a Manchester thing. They also have a good range of other soft and alcoholic drinks.
Read moreThe menu is quite large and although they do some meat dishes they have a good few vegan options and the vegetarian options can be "veganised" too (they use vegan mayo, for instance). Portions tend to be quite large so good for a hearty lunch.
The service is speedy and the staff are nice. The decor is great, local artists have decorated the walls.
There are two other "Odd" bars in Manchester although I have not yet visited them. "Odder", and "Oddest", which have similar menus but also specials of their own.
Pros: vegan options, fun atmosphere, Hot Vimto
Cons: Can be busy, Not fully veg
