Read moreThe small Café has an kitchen and the counter at the first and the dining area at the second floor. You take off your shoes downstairs and sit on fluffy pillows on low tables upstairs. The ceiling is covered with dried flowers so the room smells like them and gives off a natural feeling.
They have a variety of sweets and drinks to choose from.
We got every sweet, an chai latte and an macha latte.
The sweets were nearly too beautiful to eat with a lot of small details. The meringue was crunchy, very light and nearly melted in the mouth. The cream on top had an rich strawberry/chocolate taste and the strawberries went really well with everything. The sauces -one chocolate and one berry- we got on the side fit the sweets well.
The cream of the Montblanc tasted like it was made purely of chestnut and was very rich and creamy.
The parfait is constructed at the table and consists of a bowl of sorbet and a variety of (raw) delicacies.
The drinks contain very little sugar (which we liked and went well with the sweets) but you can add sugar if you need to.
The staff is very friendly and everything is very cozy.
It is also pretty affordable for what you get!
An absolute recommendation!!!

This is exactly the type of place I love. Cozy, beautiful, with well thought-out dishes.
Read moreThe name means "tea and flower" and that's definitely what you get- alongside beautiful vegan pasta dishes, a shop with amazing vegan sweets and an extensive dessert menu. The dishes come with edible flowers.
And I haven't even touched upon the amazing atmosphere of the dining room.
Please please please make this a part of your itinerary.

Read moreIt has by FAR the best sweets and food! The food menu is limited but everything is fresh and delicious. AND THE SWEETS! They are so beautiful and change seasonally.
It is super easy to get to (being a walk from Ibaraki Station) and the the staff is very nice and accommodating. They don’t speak English, but it is easy to point to the menu at the counter.
Make sure you bring cash!! This place is cash only which is surprising but doesn’t take away from the experience.
