Sweetest couple !!!

Amazing vegan options with full vegan menu, including dessert ! Great prices for the area - you will not find these prices anywhere else on the beach. The couple who owns the cafe is from South Africa and turkey, and are so so kind. They said they have been serving vegan food for 11 years !

Pros: Vegan eggs and cheese , Smoothies & cake , Burgers

Delicious food

Tiny, but mighty! Don’t go to this restaurant expecting fancy tables, but DO expect delicious middle eastern food. Separate vegan menu with many dishes to choose from. We ordered the roasted red pepper hummus plate with warm pita slices as an appetizer. Best hummus I’ve had in a while. I had the falafel platter as a main course, which was yummy. I topped it off with a cappuccino sprinkled with cocoa. It may be small and dated, but it is clean, and my husband had a wonderful conversation with the owner who is very kind.

Vegan options and an ocean view! I'd give 5 stars but Happy Cow won't let me.

I have been going to Ocean View Delight since 2011. This is a cute but small beachside cafe with outdoor seating on Fort Lauderdale Beach. It's not a 7 course meal, upscale dining place with white tablecloths. It's a cute beach side cafe with regular food and a lot of vegan comfort food in the heart of the tourist district. Anyone having a negative experience sounds like a super unreasonable tourist who thought this place was the Four Seasons. Lol. It's not. The view is great. The food is fresh. They have a vegan menu and separate grill and fryer just for vegans. Literally what more do we want? This is comfort food and they offer Beyond Meat. I'm also a dish on the vegan menu so try me! lol...

🌱 I'm adding photos of their veggie burger, their beyond meat burger, new chocolate vegan dessert and their vegan omelette with spinach, mushrooms and vegan cheddar cooked on a separate vegan grill. They have a Mediterranean focus with hummus available. Each meal I've ever had was delicious.

How many restaurants do you know that went out and bought a separate grill just for VEGAN FOOD? This place did. They have a separate VEGAN grill because they completely understand our concerns. They offer take out and delivery. You can purchase alcohol and just chill out with a veggie burger and people watch. If you want "high end" vegan food go to Planta or Choices or even Inika in Wilton Manors. If you have realistic expectations and love the beach and want a tasty regular vegan food meal with a view come here.

I met the owners in 2011 while I was nest sitting sea turtle nests. They started to create a vegan menu because of me. They had just opened up and I spoke with them about sea turtle light issues. They went right out and changed all their lights to amber. They also contributed to helping me rescue two pigs in 2011. They signed my petition to help stop the hunt of alligators at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. They are anti-Seaquest and let us place anti-Seaquest flyers there. Just a few weeks ago they called me for help when they found a baby raccoon alone in their yard. That is the kind of business and people I love supporting!! So that makes me appreciate their vegan options and I could care less about anything else. One day they may go full vegan and that would be amazing... ✅ 💚 🌱

The place is always clean and the food fresh. They have a separate vegan grill and delivery available. It is a cute locally owned family business and they care

Pros: vegan options, separate vegan grill, separate vegan fryer

Absolutely AMAZING!

This place is incredible! Kind of bummed this app won’t let me give this place a 5 star review since their not fully vegan or vegetarian.... that’s really strange to me honestly. I love this place because the vegan options are great, they serve all day breakfast which is great, and they’re right on the beach—a beautiful view! Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. Not just Mediterranean food, which is great. Staff was wonderful and kind. I know that this isn’t the popular view for this kind of place, but this place is perfect for me and my non-vegan wife, because we’ve finally found a place we can be extremely happy and satisfied with our meals, which works so well for us. Definitely 5 stars in my book! Can’t wait to come back!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Suitable for vegans and non vegans , Beautiful view

Great vegan food with an ocean view.

Where tourists crawl it’s rare to find vegan food. Oceanview Delight Mediterranean has a separate vegan menu. Baba ganoush is seasoned with peppers and herbs. Or enjoy a veggie burger.😋

Dry flavorless impossible burger

Sign just says Mediterranean and Vegan Food on it, not Ocean Delight. Feels like of like a hole in the wall, despite being so close to the beach. Anyway, I got the impossible burger sausage with vegan eggs. Honestly the burger was wayyy over cooked, very dry, and was an awful version of what is usually an amazing burger. The vegan eggs were dry and flavorless. My girlfriend got the falafel. That was actually pretty good, we were glad to split that after the disappointment that was my meal. They also have plenty of nonvegan options that my nonvegan friends seemed to enjoy.

Pros: large all day breakfast menu, separate menu for vegans, falafel was good

Cons: dry impossible burger, dry vegan eggs

Awesome spot with vegan food on the ocean!

Vegan food on the ocean - what more could you want?!? Very quaint place right on the ocean with a laid-back feel. They have a separate vegan menu, which is rather rare for South Florida. They have a few breakfast-type items, and also sandwiches and salads. Nice place to eat after a morning jog or bike ride on the beach!

Pros: Location location location, Good food, Separate vegan menu

Cons: Can be too hot in the summer, Service can be a bit slow - more a place to relax

OK but let down by service with an attitude

Large vegan section in the menu, mainly hummus based. We went twice. Burger was quite nice but the french fries stole the show and service was great. The falafel wrap that we had on our second visit was so-so and again the french fries saved the day, although the hummus was very good. Service second time was poor with a waitress who didn’t listen, interrupted and who our order wrong. On balance we’d go back but it probably would not be our first choice.

Pros: Hummus and fries , Really nice older waitress

Cons: Noisy being right on the coast freeway, Younger waitress with attitude

Delicious Ocean Side Veggie Place

Husband and I were desperate for some filling vegetarian friendly food and found this place. He had a wrap and I had the falafal pita bread sandwich, both were delicious! The waitress was awesome and super helpful. The menu had so much to choose from for us, we really wanted to go back but unfortunately didn't get a chance. But a must try for sure!

Great Vegan Options

Ocean-side restaurant has a separate vegan menu with veggie burgers, wraps, hummus, salads and vegan French Toast. We tried the French Toast and were in heaven. It's superb! Would definitely come back just to have it again!

great food right on the beach!

great food , i always get "marks favorite" wrap, i like it so much i have never got anything else, ive had it more than 5 times now, yea, its that good, its a nice little "on the beach type place" (right inbetween a bar and a tee shirt shop) ,right near "the world famous parrot bar" .not a super fancy or romantic atmosphere, but a great place to sit and grab a quick bite. its an oasis in the desert for vegan food on the beach, it is right across from the beach, you can eat outside with a beach view, and get good veggie/vegan food for a decent price ,has a seperate vegan menu, also people who work there know what vegan means , polite , good service, nice place

Pros: good food , good prices , good location

YUCK!

The atmosphere is that of a greasy diner and that is exactly what it is. We both got veggie wraps. How on earth can you ruin a veggie wrap? Well, let's see....first you stuff it with hard chunks of lettuce, then you add a microscopic amount of other veggies, you FRY the wrap on the grill until it is dripping with oil, and then you pour a salad dressing which is 95% oil on the inside. Totally disgusting. In addition, it came with nothing; a wrap on a tiny bread plate. No pickle, chips, some more grease....nothing! Not healthy and not worth it.

Cons: The food, The atmosphere, The food....did I mention that already?

a vegan menu in ft. lauderdale!

This place is a nice little beachside find. They have a separate vegan menu, which features several wraps, salads, and even vegan French toast. We got the hummus as an appetizer (pretty good; small portion compared to other hummus appetizers I've had); the avo salad wrap (too much oil, but fresh veggies and crisp tortilla); and French toast (a little dry but overall I was eating every bite). It's definitely a unique spot. Service was a little slow and I don't think I ever got my water refilled. Like every beachside restaurant, it's overpriced for what you get, but a fun time and definitely unique. We would come back again.

Pros: vegan menu, beachside location

Cons: portion size, price

Not Happy Cow Worthy

Forget about the long wait, the worse part is the food. Bagels out of the bag, vegan toast a shame, soy chai lattes bring tears to your eyes. All you do is pay for the location. Not worth exploring.

Cons: noisy , expensive, not homemade

Vegan eats with an ocean view

Was pleasantly suprised to discover this restaurant has an entire vegan menu -- thank you Happy Cow! A large assortment of wraps and sandwiches. Nothing fancy, but the veggie burger was good and the location across from the beach is excellent for people watching from the outdoor tables. One man ran the entire show and he couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Vegan french toast served all day.

Pros: good value, super friendly staff, excellent location

Good wraps, slow service

It took half an hour for our food to arrive because one of the orders was the wrong food item. We told the waitress we were vegan. The wraps we ordered were very good.

French Toast IS vegan

So I went in today for my 1st time to see what all the fuss is about - is there really a place promoting Vegan French Toast but using non-vegan bread? The server/cashier wasn't sure if the bread had eggs or milk, so she asked the owner guy. Both very nice people - he explained how they used whole wheat bread & asked me how or why would anyone put milk into whole wheat bread. I told him I couldn't think of a reason, so I ordered it. Honestly, I make kick-ass vegan french toast, so when I say I won't be ordering theirs again, it's not because it wasn't good. Whole wheat might have been ok (I use sourdough bread), but it wasn't; it was a dark almost pumpernickel-purple kind of dark bread. Then, very soggy in the middle. The hash brown was one of those frozen potato patties, unfrozen. I ate it. Now the Juice was fresh-squeezed & worth the trip. I will stop here on a bike ride one day, for the juice & to try the veggie burger. The owner guy told me they get the vegan veggie burger premade from a local mfr. Bike here, if possible, and just get the fresh juice & vegan burger - as car parking is an issue with only a few paid meter spots on the beach.

Pros: fresh OJ juice

Nice view, fun little place but be specific

I've been here twice and both times the food was pretty good. The sidewalk seating is pleasant on a nice day. If you're in a rush, this isn't the place for you. The vegan menu is NOT totally vegan! The croissants, the french toast, the white bread and the biscuits are all definitely not vegan but appear on the menu. The fries are frozen and then heated on a panini press...pretty cool way of avoiding oil but then again you're getting frozen french fries. All-in-all I'd definitely return but I would love to see them switch the menu to be more accurate.

Pros: Vegan options, Nice view, Decent tasting food

Small

More like 1/2 of a sidewalk cafe, very small. Two or 3 rickety plastic tables outside and a couple inside. Might be ok for takeout...

I LOVE their vegan burger!

This is a small, friendly, family-owned restaurant on A1A. The food is fresh and homemade. They now have VEGAN french toast!! I think they have the best and only vegan burger on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The fries are baked and not fried! They also have a special vegan menu which features several excellent options. They are discussing offering some vegan desserts which I hope they do! My favorite platter remains the marinated eggplant, avocado, olives, cucumber and homemade hummus which quickly became the Ana special.
