The best cafe in Cardiff, but…

Absolutely love this place, selection of drinks including great coffee and creative specials. Delicious brunch/ lunch menu. Cakes are great however would love to see more made on site/from local bakers. Bit disappointing having a defrosted cake from cake smiths you can find in any cafe when everything else in the cafe is so unique and homemade with so much thought. The homemade cakes and bakes I have had from there have been incredible- especially the pizza focaccia would just love to see more in house or locally made unique options

Came twice in two days

Good coffee, pastries, and toasties - and all vegan. What's not to love?

A beacon in the Capital

Cardiff is sadly pretty pants for fully vegan spaces. Here you can order a hot drink without worrying about them accidentally using dairy, or not cleaning the steam wand. They also do light lunch and cakes, so don't forget them when you need a vegan cafe. They are pretty central and have friendly staff and nice surroundings.

Pros: Varied drink selection, Gluten free options, Just a lovely place to be

Fab breakfast

We had loaded toast and oat lattes for breakfast. It was a feast for the eyes as well as a feast for the belly! Really satisfying and tasty. The jam tasted homemade.

Pros: Presentation, Taste, Great setting

Cons: It took quite a long time to arrive

Lovely find next to the museum

Stumbled across this lovely vegan café after visiting the museum. There was a mixture of cake and savoury bits. Milk options were soya, oat or coconut.
Although the café looks small from the front it goes quite far back.

There is a ramp for access too :)

Pros: Savoury options, Good choice of cake, Close to Museum

Yummy pastries

Love that this cafe is fully vegan. I had a lovely pistachio filled croissant, we also got two other cakes. All the PB milks and I had a lovely iced latte. Selection of savoury options too. Came back and had the almond croissant and the coffee pecan cake. Coconut hot chocolate and iced late.

Cute

Clearly a student study spot. They stop serving food at least an hour before they close but what they did have was good

Really great vegan coffee shop

Went here for lunch. The cauliflower salad was excellent! Really hit the spot. The coffee was very nice, and the sweet treats were tasty and inventive, though perhaps there could have been a few more options.
I think this is really aiming to be a place where people take laptops and work, but going here for lunch it was really nice too!

Welcoming plant-based café

Lovely place to chill out. It offers entirely plant-based options.
I ordered Chai latte, double chocolate fudge cake and carrot cake, yummy!
Another day we ordered brownies.
Also, we chose a good treat with a chocolate filling! Delicious!

It's such a pleasant place that we've been three times in our five-day trip to Cardiff.

Great, but desperately needs more seats!!

Extremely happy that there's finally another vegan cafe in town. However, I'm quite disappointed by the fact that it's VERY expensive and there is never anywhere to sit. They need more tables and chairs. I realise they are trying to keep it open plan for the look, but it just makes it look sparse and confuses people as to queuing because people just stand around in that big space when they're not even queueing. More tables are desperately needed as having nowhere to sit is turning customers away. I noticed at least 15 people walk in, find nowhere to sit, and walk back out again, not having bought anything. Oat & Bean owners are missing out here. Surely customers are more important than
a bit of an "open plan" look? I know I'm not the only one who thinks this because my
Also, the only sugar is in a jar at the till, which I find awkward. They brought the jar over to me but i didnt use it straight away, then they came back over saying someone else needs it - I'm not a fan of being rushed when I've come to a cafe to relax tbh. There should be separate little jars on each table.
The staff are nice enough, but very curt and short when you ask why there aren't more tables or why there isn't sugar on each table. They need to be more open to customer thoughts and opinions, or they'll end up having to close before long.

Pros: Pancakes 🥞 , Tea, Front window seat

Cons: Lack of seating, No sugar sachets or jars, Staff not willing to listen to suggestions

Lovely cafe with high quality dishes

Stopped here for lunch while visiting the museum. The mango coconut smoothie was very tasty and the filled savoury croissants were delicious. A good range of cakes too, but we were too full to indulge. Will be planning a visit again soon.

Great food

Have been here many times, eating in and taking away. Pancakes, granola bowl, banana bread all stunning. Pastries and sweets also lovely.
The cinder toffee brownie is lush, and the hazelnut pain au choc is exceptional.

The best almond croissant of my entire existence.

This was the best vegan almond croissant I’ve ever tasted in my life. I originally wanted to try their cinnamon roll but they were sold out, well, it turned out to be a blessing. Location is perfect: right in front of the museum. 10/10.

I thought this cafe was very cute. Loved the kimchi and peanut butter on toast and the maple bacon pancakes. The iced latte was delicious too.
