Offers a selection of vegetarian meats such as red pork, duck, three-flavored fish, drumsticks, fried pig intestines, and others. Makes a few made to order items like "guay dtee-ow," which is especially delicious in the cool season after a long day's trekking. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-8:00pm.

Yummy! - Edit
This place is behind the night bazaar and has a really nice range of 'point and choose' options. All very tasty, and free soup & drinking water available, too. The pricing seemed sort of random and wasn't as it's listed on the cards by the food...
Pros: Great range of veg and protein sources , free drinking water, very tasty brown rice
Cons: random pricing, confusion about whether some dishes contain egg or

good quality and choice for the price - Edit
Many choice on the buffet and some "à la carte". Ask the staff to reheat, they are friendly and speak english.
Just behind the old bus station, good choice before a long journey (you can also take away)
Pros: price , choice, staff

not impressed: cold buffet - Edit
i got there at at 12.45pm today. one staff greated me in English: "Hello my friend". everything is written in English, so it's easy.
they have a Counter with a buffet with a lot of different pre-cooked dishes. for red Rice (!!) with 1 dish you'll pay 25 baht. for red Rice with 2 dishes you'll pay 30-40 baht.
i selected 2 dishes.
there's free cabbage (mine had a worm on it :( ) and sauces if you Need. free water too. there's also a free soup though i didn't try that one.
there are fans in the restaurant.
my Rice was still a Little warm but my 2 dishes were both cold. i don't like to eat already cooked but now cold veggies. taste was ordinary. so quite disappointed.
not sure if you'll get a hot dish if you order from the menu.
just a typical jay Restaurant. i'm happy it exists but it could be better!
Pros: cheap, good selection, everything in english
Cons: food was cold!!

typical jay restaurant, but great still! - Edit
as stated above, it's nothing special. but still it offered quite a lot of dishes to choose from, including mock meats. very cheap and you can take as much of a clear, tasty soup as you want to for free! considering that there aren't many places like that in Chaing Rai I'd definitely recommend this one!
Pros: cheap, a little English spoken, also has a menu, a

all vegan - what a selection! - Edit
Friendly staff, they speak English and are very helpful. Great selection of food. The only thing I did miss: anything to drink beside water without sugar. Please add sugar free ice tea to your drink selection. Thanks :)
Pros: great selection, friendly staff, tasty food
Cons: no unsweetened drinks

Delicious and inexpensive Vegetarian restaurant - Edit
The Oasis vegetarian restaurant is delightful in all respects. To find such a place is wonderful anywhere, but it is especially true for Chiang Rai that doesn't offer many vegetarian options. The place offers a huge selection of very tasty dishes, some of which I have never seen before anywhere in Thailand. The dishes are pre-cooked and displayed in large containers so it's easy to see what you like. One can also order some items (I didn't try that). I tried quite a few ready made dishes for breakfast. Then came again for lunch and tried some additional dishes, and then came the next day to try some more. I would have sampled even more but had to leave Chiang Rai. It's just behind the central bus station in downtown. Delicious and inexpensive.
Pros: excellent vegetarian food, very large selection of dishes, conveniently located

Typical local buffet place - Edit
Passed by first time at 8:30pm for a later dinner but they closed already - was my fault of course. Second time for lunch, the place was not too busy. Usually I prefer fresh cooked food compared to the precooked buffet stuff. But at least the food here was quite ok - don't know how many vitamins left? The spring rolls were too oily for my taste. After all, place is fine for a quick meal for little money.

cheap with lots of vegan options - Edit
I wouldn't go so far as to say that the food was great but it was cheap and had lots of vegan options, including lots of mock meats. The lady behind the counter spoke a little English but you just pointed to what you wanted anyway.
Pros: great value, lots of vegan options
Cons: food a bit cold

Wholesome Food At Bargain Prices - Edit
A very good vegetarian restaurant located in the night market on Paholyothin Rd, behind the bus station, next to The North Hotel).
Around a dozen different dishes are displayed as well as appetisers and khao soy to choose from. Select one or two items with brown rice for 25baht and 30 baht, respectively. Help yourself to condiments and soup. The food is served cold, however, they will microwave it for you if you ask.
The dishes are delicious and the vegetarian northern sausage was a favourite, however, the free soup was a little bland for our liking. Nevertheless, this is well worth the visit and a wonderfully inexpensive place to dine, even if you are not vegetarian.
Open from 7.00am until 8.00pm Tuesday to Sunday.
Pros: Delicious Food, Very Cheap, Clean and Spacious
Cons: The Free Soup

very easy to find - Edit
This is a very easy to find restaurant. Go to the old busstation in centre town. Get to the north east corner, look north, you can see a yellow-brown 4 stock building, thats where you wanna be!
Horrible atmosphere, too many black flys, word 'hygienic' on the window is an utter lie.
The earlier you come the fresher the food.
Closes at 20.00 and on most mondays
You can refill your water bottle for free, if you haven't already done it at a watermachine.
Pros: good food, lot of choice, you can refill your water bottle
Cons: should do something about the black flys

Food teasts a bit old - Edit
The food here was good, but always some hours old and it tastes like that. Especially the raw vegetables to add in soups. But I was there always a bit late...

all previous posts are accurate - Edit
A bit tricky to find this place! It's located just south of the main road at the end of a square in Sirikorn Market.
All previous posts accurate except the woman behind the counter spoke a bit of English which of course was helpful. Some dishes were cold, some were hot, all were delicious. Clean restaurant and they sell some bulk veg items but by no means is this a market. My buddy and I had three options each over rice and three chicken drumsticks for 140b. Good deal! I'd eat here everyday if I lived in Chiang Rai.
Pros: delicious, clean, cheap
Cons: cafeteria style (boring!), hard to find

Best I saw in Thailand - Edit
It's really friendly and cheap place. Except for tasty thaiwanese and thai dishes, they sell lots of vegproducts that are also incredibly cheap if you can compare to other places. I think that portions are big enough for the price! And they open 7 to very late - up to 8pm for sure.
Pros: Variety, Low price, Open all day long

Good food, Good value - Edit
We picked this restaurant as we heard that it's the largest and cleanest vegetarian restaurant in Chiang Rai. The food is precooked in Thai/ Taiwanese style but they also took orders for made-to-order dishes. The food portion was a little bit small but it's not a bad thing as we could order more dishes. Price was low: just around 140Baht for 5 dishes! The restaurant owner is a nice Taiwanese lady, who's very helpful when we were trying to figure out which dishes were not spicy. Don't miss it when you travel around that area.
Pros: tasty food, good value, excellent service
