A real oasis of deliciousness and vegan options!! - Edit
We are so happy we found this place. First I have to say that I discussed with the lady owner about how she does her food and she is very aware of veganism and make sure nothing in her kitchen can "corrupt" the vegan options. Considering this, I started my quest of trying max of options. Basically all the traditional plates/meals are vegan, fresh and homemade. The babaganoush was incredible and the falafels were some of the best I had in my life. Go there without hesitation if you stop by Gallup or just pass by. The area is maybe not the most beautiful but Inside the restaurant with the typical music and a delicious mint tea, you will feel like abroad in middle east, enjoying real life real culture with really kind people. Loved it.

Love Mediterranean - Edit
The food here is good and the server is always friendly. The atmosphere is kind of plain, just red and white tile and paint. But it’s pretty clean and they use olive oil for everything which is better than some options. If you’re doing low oil you may have a hard time eating here but otherwise you can find some options that taste really good.

Nice place - Edit
In Gallup, there’s not too many choices. I love Mediterranean food so we we decided to stop here. We split the vegetarian plate, tabouli salad and extra falafel. They were out of the grape leaves so I got extra falafel. The hummus was good but I think the pita was microwaved to warm up. It was soft when I start eating it but got hard afterwards. I did like the falafel, a good size but could have a little more spice. The tabouli was just ok. Very tart. I would eat here again but not a favorite. Sorry I forgot to take photos as we ate it in the car.

Great quick healthy delicious meal - Edit
We rolled into Gallup in the afternoon. My wife always wants some kind of fast food and I don’t eat junk food. So I looked in my trusty Happy Cow app and found Oasis. It truly is an oasis in a sea of nasty fast food. The staff was friendly and helpful with making a choice from their extensive menu. There are so many options on their vegan and vegetarian menu that there is something for everyone. I chose the falafel, pita and baklava. Everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely stop at Oasis again when passing through.

Good road trip stop - Edit
2024 update: The falafel is still good. It seems there is more awareness here about vegan preparation now, so the comments about that in our earlier review may not be relevant these days.
Read moreDelicious felafel and hummus. Do enquire carefully about which items are vegan, as during our visit the kind person at the counter wasn’t sure, so it might be necessary to have them ask the cook. We were told that the tahini contains dairy, so in our felafel we substituted hot sauce for tahini and it was very satisfying.

Indeed an Oasis - Edit
Stopped in for a quick lunch on my way back from a work trip to rural NM and had the veggie platter. Great hummus, baba ghanoush, and salad. The falafel and stuffed grape leaves were fine but nothing to write home about. But very clean, open, good customer service. An Oasis off I40.

Best Mediterranean food in all the 4-corners region - Edit
We stop here anytime we drive though Gallup. I am glad this place survived the pandemic. The food is the best Mediterranean food in all the 4-corners region! I indulged in the Foul (Fa'ool) dip with warm pitas, and had the best falafel ever (next time I'll try the falafel sandwich). It's crisp on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Yum! Hubby's favorite is the salad with spicy chicken. We treated ourselves to baklava this time. Sweet and satisfying. A friendly spot to eat with short wait times. For us, a place where a vegan and a carnivore can both get good food is a special place.

Really delicious vegan options - Edit
The service is so friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. We tried the lentil soup, foul (fava bean dip), and vegetarian platter. So good! Possibly the best falafel texture I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, moist inside. The stuffed grape leaves are so flavorful, and the hummus was the creamiest. Loved the smoky baba ghanoush too, and the tabouli is bright and fresh. If you can fit it in, try both baklava options and the Turkish coffee! Not exactly like Turkish coffee from Turkey, but I enjoyed the subtle notes of cardamom. Everything was great.

We were passing through Gallup and came here for dinner. The lentil soup is wonderful and you get a large bowl for a good price. Pita bread comes with it. The hummus is delicious - super smooth and creamy. The falafel sandwich was very good and even better with the hummus. The baklava was heavenly. The best I have ever had. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can tell that they really care. Wonderful meal!

Tried to give 5 stars! - Edit
The best Mediterranean food I've ever put in my mouth. Much of the menu is vegan. I had the veg plate (two falafel, two grape leaves, hummus, baba ganoush, and salad), my husband had the falafel sandwich, and we split an order of foul. We even finished off with baklava. The cinnamon Walnut baklava was like if traditional baklava and a cinnamon roll had a love child. I only wish we lived closer so that we could eat here regularly.
