Great Food, Sweet Kitties - Edit
We visited this restaurant twice during our month-long stay in Porto because our cat-loving daughter was obsessed with dining by the cats. The restaurant is very cute, has a great outdoor terrace in the back, a few tables in the front to eat as well, and plenty of great food options (including delicious prato do dia). All of the food dishes we tried were delicious, in particular, a coconut rice and tofu dish with red peppers. Definitely recommend, especially if the cats are a big draw.

Got offered menu of the day-soup, toast/hummus, mash/mushrooms/peas, lemon tea. All very tasty. Didn’t get to see the menu but other customers had one so there must be other options. The cats were cool to visit. A unique and memorable experience!

Lovely decorated place with the possibility to chill among the cats (in a separate area). The sauteed mushrooms in white wine were grrrreat! So were the aubergine, toast and hotdog we had (we went twice, we don't eat THAT much). Plus the staff is very friendly.

The food was delicious, I had the daily special menu, very affordable and very fulfilling. Very nice people and really enjoyed the decor and diferent seating rooms/options. At the end I went to the car room and ended up staying there for about an hour, just enjoying the cats’ company. Super friendly and cute place. 10/10 recommend! Will come back for sure

Lovely cafe with the cutest cats! Had lunch here and the food was delicious. The terrace is beautiful and I love that the cats were able to come out as they pleased. Definitely worth a visit!

Good food, but more regulations for the cats - Edit
The food was good and staff very friendly, but I wish there were more protocols in place for the cats. It says 7 people maximum can be in the room with them, and we noticed over 12 people at times, with multiple people clearly petting cats that were sleeping or not wanting to be petted. I wished the staff intervened.

The terrace here is such a suntrap which makes it lovely to sit in with all the cats napping where they want. The cats seems comfortable and wander about calmly. We had a delicious lunch here with tofu and rice, as well as two cakes.

Vegan + cats = amazing - Edit
Really nice cat cafe. I have been to many and this was by far the nicest. Plus it's the only one that was vegan. You'd think putting the two (vegan food and rescued animals) together would be a no brainer but people like dogs and cats but don't mind putting milk derived from inhumanely treated cows in their coffee. The cats were well loved and looked after. Food is not the reason you go but it was good enough and I so appreciate that everything was vegan.

There was a line when they opened, so that should have been a clue😄 They filled up quickly for lunch, and I can see why. We had coffee, lunch, cake, and the kids played with the kitties. I was surprised at how clean, well mannered and maintained the cat area was. My kids didn't want to leave. The food was amazing, and super affordable. I will definitely be back.

Pela diferença do conceito, vale a pena a visita. A esplanada do pátio peca pelo sol em excesso, mas os gatinhos fazem-nos esquecer tudo. Provei uma das Sandwich (de tofu) e era muito bem servida.

I had a lunch course including toasts with hommus, soup, and the main dish Torta de Batata that were all so good. Also had the cinnamon cake and capuccino. Enjoyed everything. And the cats of course.

I’m not normally a fan of cat cafes and the like. However, this place really cared about the animals and wasn’t there to exploit them. It was a rescue centre that really cares. The food was fully vegan and we had the set lunch menu which was really good value and incredibly tasty. Definitely worth a visit whilst in Porto. It has such a great atmosphere in the back garden eating around the cats. The only issue is how stupid some of the customers are, more signs need to be around saying to leave the cats alone especially whilst sleeping. One person kept trying to wake them.

The indoor front part of the cafe which doesn't have the cats in was cosy and the cakes were good, however the outdoor seating area where the cats are is less nice despite the cats wandering around. Not the best cat café in truth but the food was pretty good

If you’re a vegan and love cats, this place is heaven … and I don’t know what’s keeping you from visiting😉The food is really good (and affordable), but of course the main attraction are the four-legged angels/devils secretly running the venue. There’s at least a dozen of them, and they’re beautiful. Enjoy a great meal and even greater furry friends, they’re top-notch. Fully recommended.

Bij Porto dos gatos hebben ze liefde voor katten, alles is ingericht voor de katten. Heel erg leuk om te zien. Er is een Vegan lunch te nuttigen en de gerechtjes waren ok. Ga er vooral heen om de katten te knuffelen !

O poder estar com gatos e num espaço com comida vegan é incrível! Provei a francesinha europeia, era boa, mas achei um pouco seco o recheio! O molho era bom só não gostei do toque de caminhos que altera o sabor do molho tradicional! Mas no geral era boa, vinha bem recheada!
