I already visited this place two times and ordered takeout one time as well, so I have collected enough scientific data to state that food here is okayish. Mushroom quesadilla and homemade nachos were actually nice. But the burritos are disappointing - overall they lack taste, technique and don't taste Mexican. Even the rice is poorly cooked. And when I ordered the Fellini, it was poorly rolled and dripping lots of liquid.
Read moreIt's winter now in Portugal, we have excellent avocados in season but instead here I am eating a burrito with bland courgette and red bell pepper which are summer vegetables.
This is to say there's lots of room for this business to improve, vegan food can be exciting if we dream and work towards a goal!

This place is full of passion for the animals. The decor is all vegan paraphernalia, we loved looking at all of it. We had the nachos and the platter with 2 sauces. Both were great, simple but delicious. Nice to have something a little lighter than the usual fair around.

On a Tuesday we arrived at 2:30 and was told they were closed. The sign said they closed at 3 and the door was still open with the menu display outside.

We didn't find Coimbra particularly vegan friendly for a university town, but this place was great. Food was very fresh, we even saw a local grower bringing in produce while we were there. Large portions, multilingual staff, but you will need cash if you don't have a Portuguese bank card.

We had the Frieda Burrito, it was nice. There were a few other customers and we had to wait around half an hour which is uncommon for a “simple burrito”. Nice vibe and project though. Can recommend:)

I read the reviews and someone indicated that it wasn’t spicy enough for them. I ordered the Frieda hot burrito, took a few bites, and agreed that it needed a little kick. They quickly made a little hot sauce, and my god that was delicious. They should bottle that stuff - never had anything like it.

We would have loved to give 5 stars, as these guys are doing the right thing. Staff was very friendly, the place got a cool vibe in a great urban location. But the food (Burrito, Quesedillas, Nachos) was rather bland and disappointing. We appreaciate that they're running a vegan place, as they're not too many options available. We really missed the zingy and rich twist Mexican food usually offers though. If the food would get more interesting, we'd love to be back.

Ich fand es super. Alles wird vor Ort selbst und mit Liebe zubereitet. Alles ist komplett vegan und die Besitzer stehen hinter dem Konzept und nutzen es nicht nur, um Geld zu machen. Das Essen war super lecker, das Bier sehr preiswert und der Nachtisch absolut zu empfehlen. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass es sonntags geschlossen ist und ich daher nur einmal vorbeikommen konnte.
