Delicious, cozy and super friendly - Edit
This is an entirely vegan café with a small shop downstairs. The food is very delicious and fresh and the owner is friendly and ready to help with a choice. We had vegan wrap with avocado, tomatoes, hummus and salad and it was mouthwatering. A local beer is good too, especially in a hot day :)

O pedido é feito ao balcão e posteriormente os pratos são servidos na mesa. O staff é simpático. Comemos um hambúrguer “happy pig” (adorei o nome e estava muito bom!) e uma Salada primavera (estava uma delícia). Para sobremesa provámos uma tarde “raw” de Lima que estava espectacular! Tudo vegan 🌱, tudo óptimo!
Adorámos e vamos voltar!

This place was on a different side of town from where we were staying but we are glad we made the trek. Cute little cafe upstairs from the small shop. We had a really lovely healthy lunch.

Process is a bit messy. You are forced to get a “card” to track the items that you ordered, even if you are simply getting the standard brunch.
Read moreYou are treated differently depending on who you are. My wife and I were forced to seat at the communal table because we were only 2 people. Meanwhile another couple arrived and they were able to sit at the same private table that we were trying to sit at. Is it because they were Portuguese or better dressed?
I don’t recommend coming on Sunday for the brunch. The only food options include 3 plates with bread - appetizers with 3 slices of bread, avocado toast, and banana bread to finish. I heard that lunch is better and you have more variety.
Overall average restaurant. Hope they fix the basics so that I can come back.

Have given five stars as we turned up at three minutes before closing (by accident - it said closes at half 4 on here but actually 4 on Sundays) and they still very kindly made us wraps to take away and were really lovely about it. The wraps were delicious. It's a beautiful little place. Only slight quibble would be that it was quite expensive.

'Antigo talho' used to be, as the portuguese name indicates, a butcher shop, which was bought and rehabilitated into a beautiful and rustic-like shop and cafe, situated in the heart of Lisbon.

Lovely place with amazing vegan food! I had a set menu which came with an incredible broccoli soup, a mushroom quiche and a kombucha. Everything was delicious. Definitely check out this place, but it can get crowded so get there early!

Smart move, turning an old butcher's into a vegan store/restaurant. De tirar o chapéu a tal ideia! The space is thought to the smallest detail. Upstairs, in the restaurant, is like being at home. It's so cozy, beautiful and simple. And food... Oh my God, so devine! I tryed an avocado and cacao cake... I can't even express how great ir was...!

O Antigo Talho is recently opened but already making a big impact with its delicious food and clean design.
Read moreResetting a former butcher shop, they offer a cool store downstairs, carrying mainly sustainable and eco products, and a little bistro where around 20 persons can fit.
The bistro is open weekdays 12h30-15h00 with a lunch special, a quiche, a toast and a wrap and, during the weekends 11h00-16h00 for brunch.
The brunch is quite impressive, the formula includes quiche/toast, juice, coffee/tea, oats with fruit, bread with veggie pastes and cake. You can also add a tofu scramble which is way too much food but so smooth and delicious - you should definitely have it.
The food was super tasty and freshly made with care.
The staff is super kind, the environment relaxing, cool music, definitely a big contender for the best vegan place in Lisbon, or certainly the best vegan brunch.
