Read moreDelicious food and drinks.
Super friendly staff who actually care for the food they are serving.
Wide range of items on the menu.
Offers catering for business
The shop in which located is an amazing little find with multiple businesses having a different area of the shop, beware some of these stalls do sell animal products. However all the staff present are knowledgeable and able to help you navigate this.
Pros: Vegan friendly, Freshly made food

A Gem for Foodies – Vegan or Not! - Edit
Nutmeg and Thyme is an absolute delight! This vegan, completely gluten-free cafe delivers on all fronts. Every dish is homemade, healthy, and bursting with flavour. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan or just someone who appreciates incredible food, this spot is a must-visit. The attention to detail and care put into every dish truly shines. It’s rare to find a place that caters to dietary needs without compromising taste, but Nutmeg and Thyme does it effortlessly. Easily one of my new favourites—highly recommend!

Interesting place - Edit
Loved it - feels very authentically independent. The food was nice (I had the fig and Camembert focaccia) but they had run out of the Camembert so replaced it with blue cheese. I didn’t have a dessert as they all looked a bit too bready (all cakes) which isn’t ideal after focaccia. They stock a very eclectic mix of products for sale too: from cheese and chocolates to cushions and cosmetics.

So cosy - Edit
Really cosy inside, only 4 or 5 tables/window booths, but filled to the brim with loads of produce! Really friendly lady running it, and the food was really nice too. Lots of good flavour combinations and things that make you wonder what that ingredient is - all made fresh. Recommend getting the cookie! Wish I had tried the focaccia but was out of stock.

Stopped here for a light lunch after walk. So happy to find this, cos everything is cheese and meat in the area. Great selection of sandwiches on focaccia.

Hidden gem in Burford - Edit
Found this fantastic little cafe / deli whilst searching for somewhere to eat in Burford.
Read moreI really can't recommended it highly enough.
We had focaccia sandwiches, one with roast pulled oyster mushrooms and pea pesto, the others with garlic roasted artichokes and whipped leek, tahini and butter beans.
They were honestly the best sandwiches I've had for a while.
They do a range of other things such as salads, pastries, cake etc. and a range of delicious looking homemade frozen meals.
The cafe doubles up as a deli with shelves of ingredients, sauces, crackers etc. and a fridge with artisan cheeses.
Everything happens to be vegan and gluten free, but it shouldn't put meat and dairy eaters off, as the food is great and different to so much of the samey food around.
Still can't get over the focaccia was gluten free.
I took pictures of the food but it didn't do it justice.
Pros: Focaccia sandwiches , Creative and delicious flavours, Range of deli items also

Nutmeg & Thyme where Food is Sublime - Edit
A warm welcome awaited us, compounded by a plethora of vegan goods, gifts and delicious food. Such a wonderful find, tucked away inside a peaceful courtyard, flanked by a couple of boutique shops selling jewellery, gifts and candles. We had cycled a few miles to Nutmeg & Thyme for breakfast and my goodness it was well worth it. We both chose wisely and were delighted with the outcome. This, washed down with locally roasted coffees, and we were ready to tackle the rest of the day. Given half a chance, this would be my happy place but geography dictates otherwise. Thank you for our lovely experience and we may just NEED to buy one of the frozen meals to prolong the occasion.

Nutmeg + Thyme - Edit
Small shop located in a pretty courtyard. It took me ages to find the shop, location on Apple Maps is not accurate. After driving around for 25 minutes trying to find it I gave in and called up. Luckily so as they were closing early, hours can vary so if you’re making a special journey like me do check before setting off. The owner thankfully waited for me before closing and I hurried around the shop so didn’t have time to peruse all the offerings. They had sold out of a lot of the bakery options, but I took away some focaccia and the owner kindly gifted me some bread. Small fridge section at the rear of the store with some nice vegan goodies like cheezes, butter etc.
