New menu is not as vegan-friendly - Edit

They still have several clearly labelled vegan options, but I was disappointed that the menu in the restaurant didn’t match the one on the website. The whole separate vegan menu with about 10 vegan mains has been limited to 3. There are some additional curries labelled as vegan on request, but I don’t think it’s fair to pay the same price for a chickpea or tofu dish as the original prawn/chicken/whatever version.

We had a starter I can’t remember the name of, tofu butter masala, vegetable korma and rice. My partner really liked his tofu butter masala, mostly because they actually made it super spicy on his request (most places keep it very tame). My korma was good but nothing spectacular, just mixed veggies in a creamy cashew sauce. I was sad they didn’t have dal makhani like on the website menu, because dal is my favourite and it’s rare to come across a vegan version of dal makhani.

Pros: nice atmosphere & spacious restaurant, moderate prices

Cons: less considered vegan options
