good food - Edit
Pleasant service at small cafe one street over from rail station, Tues.-Sat. 10-4. Doing a brisk business, all tables filled, at 12:30 on a Friday in December. Daily mains and soup listed on blackboard. Several items are vegan. I had the vegan organic leek and potato soup, drizzled with soy cream, served with wholemeal bread and vegan spread. Also the vegan Forester's Pie, pastry topping on mushrooms, squash and gravy, served with broccoli, browned potatoes and a nice green salad. Special herbal teas, green teas, Fair Trade teas and sugar, juices, smoothies, sparkling drinks, organic wine. Bagels, tea cakes, etc. Desserts included orange & caraway cake, ginger cake, raspberry chocolate cake, coffee walnut slice, chocolate rum pudding (warm) - two were gluten-free. "Most vegetables are organic and locally sourced. Eggs are free range."
Pros: tasty food, pleasant service, good location

great food great service - Edit
Happened upon this place today after a trip to Dalby Forest. The lady serving was lovely really good choice of vegan food including vegan cakes which were lovely much better than most. Myself and omnivore partner had bean burger home made loveliness he really enjoyed it to and as said cake amazing. Def the only place I'll eat in Scarborough in future (not that I visit often). Prices good too. Good atmosphese.
Pros: fair price, delicious, good vegan choice

The food here is beautiful. When I visted I had a greek style salad which sounds simple enough but was very tasty and the chosen ingredients were very nice. My non vegetarian friend also enjoyed his food and the service was fantastic. I'd definatly recommend!
Pros: Food, Service, Price and venue
Cons: none

Meg-nificent - Edit
A happy little cafe in delightful Scarborough serving good food at very reasonable prices indeed. Just around the corner from the train station and Stephen Joseph Theatre. Seating for around 20, local artists' paitings for sale on the walls as well as cards for different occasions. The specials menu is hand written and looks to change regularly, there is always one or two vegan items. We had aubergine lasagne and chick pea and apricot filo parcels served with salad and coriander cous cous (vegan). There is an extensive range of hot drinks as well as wine that must be served with food. I'll definitely be back here, it was a great afternoon topped off with a slice of cake most of which are vegan.
Pros: food, location, prices
Cons: next to a butchers
