Precious little gem - Edit
Overly happy to have discovered this hidden vegan cafe! Such great energy within this place including the kind staff! The fresh, local, organic food is something to be passionate about as it tastes and makes you feel how food should! I was still full for hours after their veggie burger. You don't have to be vegan to love this place. I took my great aunt & she was beyond satisfied with their lentil soup. I can't wait to go back for more!

A healthy twist on everyday food - Edit
The Nut Tree Cafe is a vegan eatery located in a quiet neighborhood just east of the 2nd Narrows Bridge in North Van. You’ll find ample street parking near the restaurant.
Read moreThis medium sized cafe is clean, brightly lit and has plenty of seating.
The menu offers everything from fresh baked goodies to soups, sandwiches, salads, nori rolls and easy quick breakfast items like toast and oats and has plenty of gluten-free options. They use many local organic ingredients and the food is sugar-free, soy free and uses no heated oils with the exception of the bran muffins…which were also delicious! All of the breads offered at the cafe are also yeast free.
The hot minestrone soup and avocado sandwich with house made nut spreads that I had were both very good. I look forward to visiting again and trying more from their menu.

Fabulous and fresh! Great service, too. - Edit
This is a small, but not too small, little cafe with lots of fresh choices. The environment is very, very clean (even the bathrooms), using the space nicely. The food was sufficiently portioned for the price (no leftovers) with healthy versions of items that aren't always made healthy. My family of 4 was very impressed and we left happy. The whole place is vegan except honey.
