Plenty of vegan options, should provide more options at the deli counter. Used to have a killer chicken salad.

Great vegan take out

The co-op is a well stocked store which offers plants and hand made gift items in addition to food/grocery wares. Bought a vegan sweet potato side salad at the deli and found vegan scones and chocolate muffins in the bakery. But, wanted to rave about the custom made sandwich, I concocted: popcorn (fried, seasoned) tofu, vegan mayo, vegan pesto, and greens on a roll; satisfying and huge for $10.99.

Pros: Generous sized , creative vegan sandwiches , Vegan deli and bakery items

A lot of vegan options, including house-made grab-and-go food

In the grab-and-go section they sell (all vegan) pizza, popcorn chick’n, avocado sushi, chocolate cake, and pizza dough. The coffee bar has plant milk options. They also sell vegan and eco-friendly soap, detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. In the bulk section, they sell the chick’n seasoning they use in their popcorn chick’n, and it tastes just like chicken. They also sell the usual cheese, ice cream, milk, meat alternatives, tofu, etc…

Humboldt's Whole Foods

Great selection, extensive plant based options. Can be pricey but usually some variation of what I'm looking for is on sale and their sales are really good. Become a member for $25 and get 10% off once a month

North Coast Co-Op Deli is Tops!

The vegetarian and vegan soups are consistently very good, to excellent. I had some Potato Leak Soup that was gourmet yesterday. You can sample the soups before buying one. Excellent salad bar with vegies and great organic home made salad dressings. As a pure vegetarian, its your best choice in Eureka. 20 minutes north in Arcata Wildflower Cafe is your best choice.

Pros: Soups, Salad Bar, co-op

Cons: Seating areas needs improvement.

Best Place to grab a Vegan option

They have a really great deli here, with the most vegan options in town. The sandwich choices are very vegan friendly, and I believe all of their breads for the sandwiches are vegan, but always double check! They also have great local vegan options throughout the store. This place is the best, but it isn't the quickest. It's a worth while cost though.
