I cannot describe how amazing the sushi tastes. It‘s magic… I was lucky enough to have great sushi in different countries, including Japan, but I have yet to discover a place that makes sushi so well.
Read moreThe sushi at „Nori“ is very elaborate, ranging from the classics all the way to what seems to be the chef’s personal creations.
The sushi pieces look amazing, and taste even better: I found it to be a perfect balance between excellent consistency and taste. The taste, in turn, appears to carefully combine subtle, but also deep and complex tastes, leaving you mesmerized after the first bite.
The sets I ordered were brought in intervals, with the first plate coming soon after ordering. This allowed me to enjoy the sushi as fresh as possible; a detail I appreciated very much.
Finally, the different plates with varrying pieces came with a certain synergy between them, as if the Chef was guiding us me on a discovery path of tastes.
One can only imagine the effort and dedication it must have taken to achieve this culinary perfection. Huge respect to the Chef!
This small restaurant is run by a family. From what I understand, the father prepares the sushi, while the mother and the son serve customers.
In addition to the amazing sushi, the beautiful environment and the lovely service staff make a visit to „Nori“ an unforgetable experience.

I reserved a table a day ahead at 4pm, at 4:10 I was still standing infront of closed doors. This lead me having to choose a later train, but anyway. I was the only customer. I ordered 3 different rolls and a dessert: The (warm!) dessert came first, then the rolls with a 5-10 minute wait inbetween. I was so confused - why is it not possible to bring them at once, especially as I was the only person in the restaurant? I wanted to take a picture of the everything, so I just awkwardly sat infront of my food for 20 minutes eating nothing and waiting...

Tuna, amazing. Salmon, amazing but the spice on the outside is way too overpowering. Baecon, my favourite. The banana was very mushy, cold by the time I'd eaten it and just not good. 25,50€ is a lot for this!

You really cannot miss NORI if visiting Rotterdam – if I lived close by I know I’d be here all the time…!

Nori Vegan Sushi is an absolute gem. The sushi is incredibly fresh, creative, and full of flavor—easily some of the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had. The staff are warm, welcoming, and truly passionate about what they do, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

This place is incredible. All-vegan and just so many options and so much choice. I was in a group and we split the Crunchy Box with a whole host of different sushi and also the Thick Fried Ebi Roll, which was a must-have. Banana and ice cream also delicious.

The sushi options all heavily rely on various meat substitutes such as vegan tuna, salmon, beef. You need to know the names a bit as there is little explanation. Many options are mayonnaise-based. The quality is good and the staff is very friendly. Only the soup didn’t impress, I ordered “Peking soup” out of curiosity but got some gooey tofu bouillon. The only downside was a guy talking on the phone with the loudspeaker on, I wish the restaurant staff would have asked him to respect the peace of other guests but they didn’t.

We had an amazing lunch! Beautifully presented and delicious.
I would have loved to have all items served together, to have the variety while eating. On the other hand it was good there was some time in between the items.

● fried rolls Thic Fried ebi (5pc) 18,50€

Everything was truly delicious.
Friendly service.
Cosy interior. Chairs are comfy but hard wooden bench (there are some cushions though to soften that).
Saw one toilet. Clean. Very small though. Didnt see an accessible toilet. Resto on ground floor.

I visited here for dinner and got a spread of several dishes to try. You can really tell everything is made fresh and with love. There is such an array of options - replicants for just about any ‘regular sushi’ you could imagine. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are lovely. It’s a very small restaurant with just a few tables, and also good to note there is no alcohol served here. Overall I was blown away with the taste and variety offered here. A must visit!
