Favourite place in Oslo!

This place is beautiful! Delicious food!! All vegan so don’t have to worry when ordering. Women who served us was so helpful and told us where to buy vegan milk from. Had the curry and it was to die for! Would return and recommend.

Reliable in Oslo

I’m always happy to eat at Nordvegan. There is something so comforting knowing that all food served here is vegan. The bistro style is very casual and comfortable too.

Pros: Quick service with food served from the buffet. , Tasty options with a pan-Asian style.

Cons: Portion size could be a teensy bit more generous.

Disappointing

Can’t understand how this place has such good reviews, maybe we came on a bad day. Tasteless ramen, basically just salted hot water instead of broth. Least colorful Buddha bowl I’ve tried, mostly rice, cabbage and sprouts. And still quite the high price.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Quite expensive , Tasteless

The first vegan restaurant I’ve been to in Oslo. The lasagna was delicious.

Average

I've visited several times, and I can't say the food is any better than average. The dishes are often lukewarm, and I've had to ask the staff to reheat it. It's not bad, and there is "something for everyone", but there are better choices around.

Maybe I came on a bad day

This was the first all-vegan restaurant I visited in Oslo, and I originally hail from a vegan mecca, so it's possible that that twists things disadvantageously for Nordvegan. But I came hungry and with no real expectations, and as soon as I saw the food my mouth was watering. It all looked really good!

The restaurant itself is both cozy and has the appearance of being quite upscale. It made me think a bit of a nice hotel lobby at first, which actually confused me a little because I wasn't sure if I should have made reservations or had stumbled into the wrong place altogether.

I tried the lasagne, a macaroni bomb, a spring roll, some of the cold salad, and broccoli. Ordering the spring roll meant the chili sauce came free, and I got a choice of dressing for the salad, which was served on the side. I wanted to try the hummus as well, so the woman working the counter added some of that. At checkout, I also ordered the "mocca" coffee, and she brought it to my self-selected table soon after.

The spring roll was okay before the sauce; with it, it was tasty. The macaroni bomb was surprisingly plain, but with some of the spring roll's sauce, it was pretty good. The lasagne was unfortunately inedible. It was lukewarm, almost entirely cheese, which might have been okay if it wasn't the kind of cheese that sticks to your teeth, it had large chunks of tomato, some of which were slices (which I'd never seen before but was open to; the texture it then lent to was...bad), and on top of it all was incredibly bland. I wondered for a moment if I'd lost my sense of smell and therefore taste but...nope, all was in working order. All but the lasagne, I guess.

The cold salad was decent, albeit unfamiliar. It was texturally stringy, rather than being balanced with broader leaf components, and this made it a bit difficult to eat. The broccoli was another surprise. I thought it was raw, but then realized it had been steamed and then chilled. This was off-putting.

Unfortunately, the coffee was also a bust. Black coffee is my fave, and second to that is mocha lattes. Therefore unsweetened coffee is typically preferred, but in a latte, I've come to expect some sweetness. This had no sweet and really no creaminess either; it was as if baking cocoa powder had been added to black coffee, stirred a little, and...that's it. Bizarre.

I'd like to try it again but it won't be high on my list. I'm sad to report negatively, especially since this is an all-vegan restaurant.

Pros: All-vegan, Nice indoor seating, Helpful staff; simple ordering process

Cons: Expensive for the portions and quality, Bring your own seasonings (jk, but srs, v bland), Mocca ≠ mocha

Good but a bit pricey

The food was good. But considering the fact you have to pick and fetch your food at the counter and portions could be bigger, it's a bit on the pricier side.

Pros: all vegan, tasty

Cons: a bit expensive for what you get

Local 100% vegano. Bonito lugar, ambiente amigable, tienen pocas opciones pero si sabes combinarlas bien te puedes hacer un bolw increíble. Volvería!

The cow is happy

Very delicious food, we had lasagna with a mixed salad and a nut mix on top and almost forgot to have desert, as one serving was satisfying. But then we saw the cake andddd you definitely have to try one or more!! The chocolate mouse had the perfect consistency and the oreo rock cake was amazing. They even have fruit infused water for free. If you’re in Oslo, pay Nordvegan a visit

Very delicious but expensive

Nice little restaurant with beautiful ambiente. You have to order what you want directory at the counter. I tried the Buddha Bowl. At first I thought "wow that's not so much for that price". But after eating it I felt very full. So it's more than it looks like. As dessert I tried the Chocolate Peanut Mousse. It was very delicious but with almost 9 euros also very expensive. Out of all I wanna say it's worth to visit this place. They have delicious food and very friendly staff. Yes it is expensive but we are in Norway so it's not surprise :)

Decent, but not fantastic

You can put together your own plate, i.e. choose a base and then toppings and dressings and/or you can go for a meal deal or a curry deal. On the day we went the mains they had available were tofu skewers and lasagne. The food was good, but not outstanding. They also have cakes and desserts. They all look delicious. We tried the chocolate cake and it was good. We enjoyed the creamy texture. The interior of the restaurant is lovely, but it doesn’t really fit with the concept of ordering at the counter and getting everything yourself. Fairly expensive considering that there is no service. Staff was friendly, toilet available.

Solid place

I'm happy to see that vegan/vegetarian options in Norway improve with each visit of mine (at least in Oslo)! This is a pretty simple, solid vegan restaurant offering different "meal of the day" options. It's not the most extraordinary food I have eaten, but it was very tasty and fresh. Friendly staff, reasonably priced.

Recommend the meal deal

Food is amazing and staff are lovely. The meal deal includes a large plate of food for about €17 which isn't bad for Oslo!

Casual atmosphere, delicious food!

Nordvegan, while having dinner options available, appears more like a café. When you enter you will not be seated by a waiter like in a resturant, and looking around you’ll see some customers simply enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend.
In general, the atmosphere is very laid-back. It’s one of those non-fast food places you can go for dinner spontaneously regardless of mood or proper outfit. For introverts like myself, this is a huge boost!

The food, vegan only, is presented like a buffet that varies from day to day. You head to the desk and pick a dish and a side, and the employee will load a generous portion for you. You pay, and find a seat. Simple, delicious, cheap!

Pros: Vegan only, Casual, Food varies from day to day

Cons: Few cake/pastry options

Great options, classy décor

Great vegan café, a short walk from central station. Lots of options to be eaten with or without a salad. We enjoyed our lunch and I would have given this a 5 but the service was not very friendly. The girl looked like she was only here on sufference.

Pros: Vegan, Tasty, Healthy

Cons: Glum service

Delicious

All vegan and all delicious. We tried about four dishes between us and all we're 5 star quality/taste. Very impressed with this place.
Very tense interior too, with an easy to understand menu.
