Fresh and flavorful food - Edit
I had dinner here with a meetup group of 15 -- an overall wonderful experience! Both the exterior and interior of the restaurant are beautiful, and the service is outstanding. There are numerous clearly marked vegan options on the menu. I ordered the Aloo Sag and also tried one of a table mate's steamed vegetable dumplings, listed on the menu as Momo. Both were exceptionally fresh and flavorful -- and I particularly liked that the Aloo Sag was made with mustard greens rather than spinach. I look forward to returning soon!

Delicious! - Edit
This is the 2nd Napalese based restaurant I have ever been to and it's definitely my favorite.
Read moreThe restaurant does not have easy parking and that is really the only bad part.
Inside it is decorated really nicely and it has tables for all sizes of groups.
It is BYOB and that is fine with me because I don't drink alcohol very often.
The vegan options are clearly marked and some of the vegetarian things can be made vegan so if it sounds really good to you, just ask.
Because I came here in October I got their pumpkin puffs. It was a special menu item for the month and it was very similar to samosas. It was a savory pastry stuffed with pumpkin and it had a delicious sauce.
For the main course I got the Chili Momo but i asked for it to be vegan. The time I went before I had the Sweet and Sticky tofu. I would recommend both or either.
Nothing is spicy on the menu, but you can ask to have spice added.
The momo is like pot stickers or dumplings cooked in a flavorful sauce with onions and peppers. It's amazing.
I also got the Himalayan black tea. It comes either hot or iced. I really love iced tea so I did it cold. My brother had the hot version and said he really enjoyed it.
I highly recommend this place and their yummy food.
Also the service is outstanding. Everyone who I interacted with was incredibly nice.
Pros: Easily marked vegan options , Some vegetarian stuff can be made vegan
Cons: Hard to get parking

Great lunch buffet - Edit
Went for the lunch buffet. Out of the 12 or so dishes on the buffet only 2 were NOT vegan! Very good. I will be returning soon to order from the menu next.

We are not super familiar with downtown Lancaster, so it took some driving around to find this cute place, even with GPS, lol. Right downtown but hidden on a back street, with (pay) parking right across the alley. Norbu is in the former space of Character's Pub, which is what shows on Google Maps. They have tatami tables! Take your shoes off first. It was fun to sit this way and very comfortable.
Read moreThe menu offers both Nepalese and Bhutanese food, and vegan dishes are clearly marked. There is so much that they could easily have a vegan menu on the side. We loved the steamed dumplings which are a large portion of 8 and look like roses, with a cilantro dipping sauce on the side. Get the Thali (sampler) to try a wonderful array of Nepal food. We could have shared these two dishes and been full, but we also ordered the mushroom Datsi, which has vegan cheese but just a sprinkle. We brought home food especially the red rice. We will be back because there is lots more to try, and it is very affordable. BYOB too. Gets a good crowd mid-week.
We claimed to be full but still split a blueberry-lemon cheesecake slice. ALL of the cheesecake is vegan, cashew-based. It was sooooo creamy and good, way better than the kind made with cow milk.

Love - Edit
So, I have loved visiting the restaurant's Carlisle location, Yak and Yeti, for many years when visiting family. This location offers even more vegan options by substituting vegan cheeses on dishes that are only vegetarian at the other location. I finally tried the spicy noodles! They are SPICY! I was warned, lol. Their food is so flavorful, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are so accommodating. The chz cake? I have tried so many flavors over the year and they never disappoint. At Norbu, I had pecan pie chz cake. Oh man! So good!
