Get the mushroom linguine - Edit
There is a reason why there are so many pictures of this dish on here! It is shockingly good. Way better than the sum of its parts. I was a little disappointed by the “pad Thai nachos” (everything was fresh-from-the-refrigerator cold somehow?) and papaya salad. Also, ignore the self-service waitlist machine at the front and make sure you make contact with a server instead. It was clear from this visit that the staff don’t actually monitor the darn thing and you will be sitting there waiting for a text message telling you your table is ready while other people who come in after you are seated😒

😕 Meh - Edit
Food was fine, but greasy. Dishes were too familiar. The nacho thing was a creative use of familiar foods. (I didn't order it and don't remember the name)

We picked up the finger potatoes and coconut mushroom linguine to go. Our order came out on time and fast. It was our first visit and decided to stay for a cocktail and sit outside. Cocktails were fun and tasty, and the people watching was good. They obviously do a great business on take away and dine in.
Read moreOur dishes were great. We really liked the sauce on the potatoes and there was a nice balance of noodles to mushrooms in the linguine. I would order both again.

Good food, service okay - Edit
The food and drinks were good. The flavors were on point and the spiciness was as specified on the menu.
Read moreOrdering was difficult. We were told to use the qr code at the table to place our order. That was fine, but then we had to pay at the end at the end of the order. The screen kept spinning. An employee watched us do the entire process, then said they'd take our order. I felt that that was a huge waste is everyone's time.
Two of our meals came out together, mine took longer.
Everyone was 2/3 done by the time mine arrived.
Pros: Very tasty
Cons: Timing of food , Ordering process

Interesting Food, Not Stellar - Edit
The food was good, and there were lots of flavors, but not spectacular. Perhaps because we ate here the night after Jade Rabbit, which was a lot better. Also, the pricing here is a bit off-putting and not welcoming. Not only did we have to submit a credit card to make a reservation, after we ordered we had to pay upfront. Very strange, and not at all welcoming. Maybe they have a lot of people skip out on bills? We couldn't understand it.

Norah is a vegan Thai dream come true!
Read moreWe were warmly greeted when we arrived and found a carafe of water waiting on the table.
The space is clean and comfortable with open beamed ceilings and beautiful hanging plants throughout.
My husband has been vegan for six short months and he loved it so much we had to go back two weeks later! The second time we took Omni friends and they said how crazy they found it that the best Drunken noodles they had ever had were vegan!
We ordered Drunken noodles, See Ew, Bibimbap and Pad Thai. All the dishes were raved over.
Fresh and piping hot, perfectly seasoned delicious!!
The only thing we didn't care for was that the ordering is a Q code and done on your phone.
We found it clunky.
Norah is amazing and sure to become one of our favorites!
Pros: Food, Food, Food
Cons: Ordering is clunky

Loved it! - Edit
Had an early dinner here and ordered the samosa for app; the coconut mushroom linguine and the cauliflower curry for mains; and the taro rice cake for dessert. Everything was so tasty and richly flavored that I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu! Portions were generous to boot. I really liked this system whereby you just order and pay on your phone without having to wait for your designated server to come around. I wish more restaurants were like this.

Artistic, healthy, and delicious! - Edit
The space is beautiful. The dishes are artfully presented. Prices are quite reasonable given the obvious love and care that goes into their ingredients and creation. Fun, artisan cocktails to top it all off! I didn’t try one this time because I was here for lunch, but I will surely be back! I want to try every dish on the menu! I am thrilled to have found Norah!

We got the norah roll, samosa, rainy rangoon, see ew, iced coffee and hibiscus like soda. Every single thing hit so hard. Each of the starters came with a different type of dipping sauce. All of them where insanely flavorful and mouthwatering. This place is now in my top 3 restaurants

Okay wow - Edit
This was the last restaurant on our Portland weekend (vegan food tour/birthday) and Norah hit it out of the park. We had the drunken noodles and bibimbap and I was honestly blown away. The drunken noodles were delicious and very spicy, plus they do not skimp on the soy curls 😍. The bibimbap was very flavorful and yummy. Cute ambiance inside too. Can’t wait to come back!

I finally ate at Norah last night and the man who brought me there, a non-vegan, said it was the best vegan food he's eaten. I'm very anti-tempeh due to texture and taste and I tried some of his. Ohmydog, do they know how to make tempeh delicious to me

Superb Asian Fusion - Edit
Brought to us by Nan, the brilliant mind behind the original Kati Thai and Mestizo PDX, Norah have perfected vegan Asian fusion. They incorporate the flavors of Thai, Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, and more. Favorites are the Bibimbap, Pad Thai, See Ew, Drunken Noodles, samosa, Larb, and spicy holy basil!

BROOOOOOO 😍 - Edit
Y’all 😍 do yourselves a (censored) favor and EAT THIS FOOD. The coconut mushroom noodles were out of this world!! Got the Suki noodles too which were delicious (although ask for a spicy sauce 😉) and the Samosa were so crispy and airy (although they could’ve used more salt— but I love salt 😉) also got the Thai Tea cocktail and GOD DAMN it’s dangerous 💖 a wonderful spot!

I got a few things to try here, but I’ll be talking about the cauliflower curry for days to come. I could smell it long before I tasted it. Ginger and lemongrass permeated my senses. The richness and flavor in this dish is unmatched. Best Thai dish I may have ever had. GET IT!!!

Good…and speedy too! - Edit
After a day of hiking, we had worked up some hunger. Lots of vegan spots to choose from in Portland (thank you, Portland!), but Asian food sounded good so we decided to give Norah a try. We ordered the samosas, pad Thai, and the croquette dish. Everything was tasty.

Declining food quality, rude front of house staff - Edit
I have been to Norah probably a good 8 times since they first opened. The food was great at first, but has been declining in quality and consistency ever since. There’s no attempt at bringing dishes out at the same time, so it’s pretty typical to get your main dishes out before your appetizers are ready. The worst part about this restaurant however is the front of house staff. We have repeatedly dealt with rude “servers”, though it’s not even fair to call them that considering table service isn’t offered. I can’t reasonably recommend Norah, as there are far better vegan Asian restaurants in town without the headaches of this restaurant.

Fairly average - Edit
The setting is nice, if a little cramped. The food was good, but fairly ordinary. I was hoping for something a little more exciting. It's a mix of good options available at regular ethnic restaurants

I totally loved this place!
Read moreMy boyfriend and I shared the mushroom linguine, bibimbap, mango sticky rice, and an iced matcha latte. Everything was delicious, especially the mushroom linguine which was totally strange but worked. Also the iced matcha was so good I’m not sure why but I just got really into it.

Overall, very good and worth many future visits. I recommend checking with your server about spice levels, as some of the dishes may surprise you (in a good way). Looking forward to updating this 4-star review to a 5-star in the months ahead!
