Natural Food Store

I am not quite sure if the place has changed since the previous reviews, but we got there at 5:25 pm, and the cafe upstairs was already closed - there was a sign that said last order 5 pm. There was a clothing store upstairs as well that was still open, and the cafe area seemed quite small, with a display case of pastries that were also sold in the natural store downstairs. I didn't see much seating area, so that's why I'm not sure if it actually still offers what the previous reviewers had.
We did however browse through the store downstairs and bought some vegan pastries. I did find it a bit pricy, but I guess that's to be expected of places like this in Japan. The pictures I'm adding are from the downstairs area.

Nice place

We got there around 6:15pm and they just had the leftover lunch plates for sale, which were offered at 20% off.
Large was ¥1000 and small was ¥700 with 20% off.
We were able to eat there which was nice.
After dinner, we went down to the health food section, which is not all vegan FYI. We got some vegan matcha ice cream, which was a bit icy but still a nice treat. The ladies were able to confirm the ice cream was vegan, so just ask if unsure.

Shop sells ethical clothing upstairs, and health food store downstairs.

Pros: Nice food, Good service

Cons: No fresh dinner options, Not fully vegan in health store section

We loved it.

We had the lunch set with the cake and it was delicious! The whole store is beautiful and the staff was just super nice.
We will be back if we are ever in Kanazawa again!

Great place & food

You can easily have access to this restaurant from Kanazawa station by taking the bus (15 minutes trip).
There are 4 options on the menu for the lunch, I took the option without the dessert (vegan chocolate cake) and I really enjoyed it. You can feel that it's prepared with passion.

There is also an organic store on the 1st floor where you can find fresh fruits, vegetables and other products which is a really a good thing.
Last but no least, the staff is very friendly.
If I come back to Kanazawa I would definitely have a lunch there again.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, friendly staff

Great place

I really like this little restaurant. They only serve meals for lunch, otherwise it's cake and drinks. The meals are a nice balance--soup, brown rice, different small veggie dishes, and one main fake meat. The atmosphere is great too--lots of light and in the spring and summer you can sit on the balcony. Very friendly staff. The owner knows some English, as do some of the waitstaff. Even without English they are very nice and accommodating. I'm working on my Japanese so I can talk to them more.

Pros: Healthy, Friendly staff, Great atmosphere

Cons: Lots of onion (only bad if you hate onion like me)
