delicious Italian food - Edit
Highly recommend the artichokes as a starter, one of the best things I’ve ever had, tasted sooo amazing!
Read morePizza was also good, not a typical round shape and dough, but the Mushroom Pizza tasted really nice.

Friendly staff - Edit
Friendly staff. Nice food, especially the pizzas, but too much garlic. We sat outside and it wasn’t a nice atmosphere. Over $300 to sit on a hard wooden picnic table on a dirty busy road. Wouldn’t go back unless they move to a nicer location.
Read morePros: Friendly staff, Nice cocktails, Nice pizzas
Cons: Seating, Environment, Garlic overload

I haven't yet visited the restaurant but it seems a bit unfair to judge them on the state of the street when you obviously knew that before you sat down. The wooden table seems like a fair critique though

Hi cowslikepuppydogs. No need for the sarcasm. I did not know how the street looked. I booked online so only found out when I arrived. I believe they may be moving to another location though.

Best Italian pizza in Australia! - Edit
This is probably the best pizza I've ever eaten. Authentic Italian experience. The base (dough) is incredible. My favourite is the Salsiccia pizza which has spicy sausage. The crumbed olives and the tiramisu are also delicious. Edit they no longer off this pizza 😔

Promising menu, missed a bit on execution - Edit
Maybe we just caught them on a bad night? We were so excited for this place, but unfortunately it was all just a bit off. The crispy artichokes were soggy with oil, the ragu was overly sweet and the roasted green beans were floppy and flavourless. That said, the mushroom and kale ravioli was excellent. Would happily visit again and give it another chance though.

Must do in Brisbane - Edit
I have been multiple times and it never disappoints. The service is amazing and attentive.
Read moreThe food is delicious and they have interesting takes on Italian food.
My top picks the sliders, Lupa pizza and the gnocchi.
But whatever you do don’t leave without trying the tiramisu it’s the best!

Amazing vegan Italian - Edit
Just moved to Brisbane and this was on the top of my list - did not disappoint! Had the banquet menu which was a lot more food than we thought so come with a very empty stomachs. Can’t wait to return and try the tiramisu and creamy pasta.

Nonna would be proud - Edit
This place has not only warmly inviting service, but the generosity of food is not overshadowed by the quality. 4 of us shared the Banquet Menu and added an extra pasta dish and swapped out the shoestring fries for another dish that we wanted to try. We left with leftovers and full plant filled bellies.

Cons: Not completely wheelchair friendly (outside is), Seperate shared toilets with other buildings

FIRENZE EAT YOUR HEART OUT - Edit
I can't tell you how good this was - like the matrix, you have to experience it for yourself. But that gnocchi ragu was as good as the best gnocchi I ever ate (which happened to be in Florence), and our other dishes were equally delicious.

Amazing but expensive - Edit
Amazing Italian vegan place in the West End. I would love to get through this whole menu but every time I come here I come back to what was good last time because it was so good and I refuse to believe that it can taste better, and yet every new item I try blows it out of the park
Read moreA must visit. A must try. An icon, but it is expensive.
Tiramisu was $14, pizza was $26. Worth it, but just as an occasional treat.

Incredible! - Edit
Couldn't have loved eating here more. Can't pick a favourite. The arancini? The funghi pasta? The pizza? All of it is incredible. Worth the drive from the Gold Coast (anyone living in the vicinity of this spot in West End or the CBD has me green with envy) every time for dinner. Would recommend a reservation. Oh, and kudos to the amazing servers!

Extraordinarily good - Edit
Adding my voice to the choir singing praise for Nonna’s Nightmare, a joyful noise. It ranks among the best vegan Italian eateries anywhere. The carciofi (artichoke) starter is sublime. The gnocchi is remarkable for its sauce, a creative ragu. The mushroom pizza has exceptional flavor, particularly the truffle cream. Unfortunately there was no cannoli on the new winter menu, but the chocolate pear torta is fine work. The only thing missing from this dinner was greens, so we’ll be sure to include those for balance next time.
