Homey feeling

This place looks very nice and homey. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We tried a nice pumpkin-ginger soup (which they made vegan for us), curry rice and baked potatoes. Food was perfect, with well balanced flavours.

Pros: nice food, friendly staff

Never ever open

Like never ever. Went 4 times, nobody was there. Last time somebody inside said : come back at 8pm. I got back at 8... Still closed.

Great vegan options

We had great vegan starters and two nice vegan salats for lunch. Our chef was very helpful and even offered to make off-menu vegan versions of authentic Greek dishes. We'd like to give 5 stars (4 is the max for non-vegetarian restaurants).

Quirky look, good food

Helpful staff identified veg food we’d like, and we did. Varied menu. individual attention from the cook/ wait staff.
Non-matching tables and chairs give the place a quirky feel, but the choice of background music was lively and the interaction with the staff was warm. They made up a lemon dessert for us because they’d run out of the tart on the menu.
It’s in a side street with little pedestrian traffic to create a lively Psirri feel like the restaurants around the corner in every direction.
By the way, it’s really easy to find. From Athinas, it’s only a few steps down a side street, at present marked with big graffiti ‘the Universe of Everyday Things’ on one side and ‘Pop Air’ (a shop).

Pros: marked vegan choices, Atmosphere in the restaurant , Big portions

Cons: Lacks street vibe

People smoke here!

Disgusting smoke. Chickpeas on the persian salad seemed a bit raw and the food was a bit tasteless (could be because of the thick smoke).

Pros: A few vegan options, marked with a heart on the me

Cons: SMOKE, Pricey

Great service and delicious food

This place is very good for Vegan food. We ordered humus and indian rice and we really enjoyed it! The Indian was one of the best vegan dishes I ever tried. full of flavour and taste. Moreover, the staff was very welcoming.

Pros: Food, Service, Environment

Cons: No desserts available that day

still there, but is it worth it?

I visited Nonna for the first time in December with two friends. We were really excited to try it because it had come highly recommended by a few friends. We also like the way it looks inside, very homey and comfortable. However, our dinner there was a series of mishaps mostly due to poor service.

Firstly, it took a long time for the waiter to acknowledge us or even bring us water. It took even longer for him to come back to take our order. I ordered the beetroot burger (as opposed to the other burger) in English and in Greek, then my Greek friend confirmed it in Greek.

They still brought out the other veggie burger which was a grayish mush on bread. His only explanation was that they did not have the beetroot burger today (then why let us order it?) and that that was all I could have. This was all explained with very little concern that we enjoy our experience there. I would have just accepted it as a mistake, except this burger really did not look appetizing in the slightest. I said I would have ordered something else if I'd known that and the final agreement is we could keep it and not have to pay for it. I wouldn't recommend it. It was bland and mushy.

Our salad had come first. It was good, but nothing special. We also ordered a veggie curry dish to share that was fresh and healthy, but seriously lacking in curry flavor. One of my friends ordered a pork dish that came with mashed potatoes. She really enjoyed it and thought it was great. Our other friend agreed. However, the other friend's main dish never arrived. The basically avoided our table after the burger mishap, even though they weren't busy at all. When we were finally able to flag him down, he seemed clueless about my friend's order, though we'd all heard him confirm it twice.

She didn't want to wait for it to be prepared since we had finished everything else, so we just asked what the options for dessert were. He said he had to go check. He then walked nearby the kitchen and proceeded to put away forks and knives for 5-10 minutes before coming back to tell us there was no dessert that night.

The friend who had the pork and I would consider giving Nonna another try to see if it was just an off-night, but our third friend swears never again! She went and got a burger afterward.

Pros: homey atmosphere, several vegan options, healthy food

Cons: poor service, veggie burger

Food satisfying, atmosphere low-key

Unusually quiet place with Marilyn Monroe and jazzy music playing. Enough options for vegans: Sunday evening they had curry chickpeas, eggplant salad, veggie soup, veggie burger (lentils), penne tomato pesto, hummus, bruschetta, and salads to chose from. Everything cooked well and with love, but not out of this world.

Pros: numerous vegan options from soup, appetizers to ma

Cons: totally un-overcrowded atmosphere and very high ce

Great lunch

We ate here and really enjoyed all of the things we ordered. There were plenty of vegan options and they're marked on the menu. The location is very convenient if you're visiting the tourist sites of Athens (the free walking tour we did finished right near here). One thing to be aware of though is that when we arrived at 1:05pm they were literally in the process of opening the doors.

Pros: Good food, Convenient location

Cutr, feiendly and delicious

Go there! The staff are very friendly, menu in Greek and English. They do serve meat and vegetarian dishes as well but I still had about 6 vegan things to chose from, including curry, salad and pasta. I had a salad with lettuce, cabbage, carrot, peppers, beans, peanuts and an oriental sauce and it so good i had to go back for another one.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

A Ray of Light in Gyros-City!

I try to come here every time i work in Athens. The Restaurant has an alternative DIY-Atmosphere, that is enormously relaxing. The food is cooked freshly and tastes very good. Big or small plates are available, in not at all expensive, the self mad lemonade and bio-wine are worth trying.
