Amazing vegan restaurant - Edit
Nom Viet is great, so many tasty dishes!
Read moreWe had the fried fish dish for starters which is the closest thing to fish I've had since turning vegan! Absolutely delicious.
I then had the aubergine tofu which was just melt in your mouth.
It's an amazing restaurant, just a shame that Suissi is down the road which is a must visit so I end up there usually if I'm in the area.
FYI, it was cash only!
Pros: Delicious vegan food, Lots of options
Cons: Cash only

Very tasty food - Edit
I’d been to the Edinburgh branch and enjoyed it, we just happened to be in this part of town on one of the days Suissi is shut.
Read moreWe ordered the sharing platter of 5 starters, the aubergine and the coconut curry with rice. The starters were good, the flavouring of the main dishes was gorgeous. Good portions size - one rice easily did the two of us.
Service was discreet and attentive, water was bright to the table without having to ask. We didn’t have room for desserts. Would go back.
Pros: Very flavoursome food, Good service
Cons: Cash only, Bit draughty with the door left open, Quite pricey

Amazing food Fantastic value - Edit
We went for a delicious meal yesterday evening but I really wish that I had known about the portion sizes! One starter and two mains could have easily fed three of us. The upside was that we had the left overs for tea tonight!
Read moreThe salt and pepper mixed mushrooms were incredibly moreish and the plate was piled high. The aubergine and the coconut vegetable curry were gorgeous and my son loved his spicy noodle soup.

Amazing! - Edit
First time coming here and after one mouthful I was committed to coming back. Had the caramelised tofu and green banana followed by the mango spring rolls. It was all so delicious I was sad when I’d eaten it all. Bonus points for being dog friendly!

One of our favourite and go-to Glasgow vegan places. It’s often quite quiet and is in an excellent location easily walkable from Partick or Kelvinhall subway stations.

Delicous but expensive - Edit
The food was really good. We had a Starter and two Main dishes. Unfortunately you had to pay extra for the rice, over £3 per portion. So we paid around £60. Also they didn't have soy sauce, only Maggi seasoning, which was weird. You can only pay cash there. Strange as a tourist as you can pay by card almost everywhere and don't necessarily have that much cash with you. However, the waiter was kind enough to inform us about this before we ordered. While we were eating there, several customers came in and were put off by the cash only payment. Perhaps the restaurant should consider offering card payment in future.

Highly recommended - everything we tried was super flavourful and delicious (even without chilli and coriander as we requested), with huge portions for reasonable prices.

Delicious Vegan Vietnamese at Non Viet, Glasgow - Edit
We popped into Non Viet on Dumbarton Road last night as a group of seven and it turned out to be an absolute gem. This fully vegan Vietnamese restaurant is still relatively new, only a couple of years old, but it’s already serving up delicious food in a warm and welcoming setting.
Read moreThe interior was lovely, clean and thoughtfully decorated. Traditional Vietnamese hats had been turned into light fixtures and a couple of bicycles were mounted on the wall, adding a quirky and authentic touch. It felt cosy and inviting, just the kind of place you’d want to spend an evening with friends.
The staff were absolutely lovely, so friendly, smiling and welcoming from the moment we stepped in, which really added to the experience. It’s always such a bonus when the service matches the quality of the food.
The menu outside was clear and easy to follow, though one important note, it’s cash only, which we hadn’t realised. Thankfully, there’s a cash machine just across the road so it wasn’t a big deal.
I shared number 7, the sharer platter, with my friend and it was a brilliant way to sample lots of different starters. Everything was fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. For my main I went with number 17, the special fried rice which was wrapped in a banana leaf and packed with tofu, vegetables and lotus seeds. It was absolutely delicious, smoky, fresh and full of flavour, with a lovely homemade soy sauce and salad on the side.
It wasn’t very busy when we visited but it really deserves more attention. If you’re in Glasgow and fancy fresh, flavour-packed vegan food in a chilled and beautifully decorated space, Non Viet is a fantastic spot. We’ll definitely be back.
Pros: Friendly and Attentive Service, Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere, Delicious and Flavorful Vegan Food

Decent food in the westend - Edit
Came here for lunch and ordered a few items to share. Unfortunately they were out of regular rice so we opted for the violet rice which was actually very nice. Favourite was the Ha long cakes, which I didn't think would be my favourite but would definitely recommend them. We got the carmelised tofu and green banana but I found the sauce to be a little salty, so would have preferred it a bit more subtle. Really enjoyed the strawberry milkshake and sadly was too full for dessert! Would be a bonus if they accepted card, however there is an ATM just across the street to take cash out.

Racist waiter - Edit
Waiter made me pay for my food before he could put my order through. He didn’t do this with any of the other tables in the restaurant. I even asked the lady next to me who frequents the restaurant and she said she’s never seen them do that. I’ve even been before and the waitress last time didn’t make me do this. I asked the waiter and he couldn’t give me an explanation, but refused to put the order through before I paid first. Will absolutely never go back. They don’t even accept cards. #Veganuary

Very tasty - Edit
Nice atmosphere. It is nice to be in a place that does not have the music violating my eardrums. The menu was not huge which was also nice. We ordered spring rolls, pho and tofu coconut curry with rice. I also got a homemade lemonade.
Read moreThe spring rolls were probably the best spring rolls I have ever had. They were so delicious. The pho and curry were also very tasty. The portions were good sized as well. We left very full. The homemade lemonade was also probably one of the best. It seemed to have been made with a lemon syrup, which was great. Less soda-y, more lemon-y.
Recommended. Also, the staff made sure we knew it was cash only before we ordered.

Very tasty mains, the deep fried ice cream dessert was very filling, maybe too much for my taste but something to try once 😂 the mango spring rolls sauce was slightly bitter but also something different and worth trying (probably best to share 1 dessert between 2)

🍚🍛☺ - Edit
I went here for dinner yesterday with my friend . Friendly staff, chill ambience and delicious food. Just that I felt the food was quite expensive. Some dishes came without rice, so if you were to add rice, it would come to almost £20, which to me, feels like a lot.

Great food, disappointing service - Edit
My friend and I stopped by this little Vietnamese place on our way home from doing touristy stuff. The restaurant is unassuming and cosy, and the food was really great - I had the spicy noodle soup and my friend opted to go straight for the dessert (fried ice cream), and we also had their signature cocktail. Sadly, the service disappointed; we noticed that there was no toilet roll and soap in one of the toilets and informed one of the team members, but nothing was done about it for ages while said team member was just standing behind the (empty) bar. It took another team member to address the issue. This could be a great place with a bit of effort.
Read moreAlso, worth noting that the place is cash only, and it's pretty expensive for the area.

Tasty and fresh - Edit
As others have said, when you look at the menu the prices are surprisingly expensive! I'd wanted to try a few things but the cost was prohibitive - a starter for one for over £11 was too much. Got the spring rolls (cheapest starter at £9) and the pho (£15). Getting a curry plus rice would have been over £18. Portion sizes were good, great presentation, fast service, and fresh, interesting ingredients. I would go back with someone else to share a few things to try more, but won't be popping back solo again. Also, it's cash only - there's an ATM just across the road.
