Nice place, enjoyed my meal - Edit
Contrary to others I did not have issues with the soup! For me it came without egg, really just as stated on the menu. However you never know if they put anything into the soup... I can't guarantee for that. Looooooooved the soup! So yummy! Could eat it all the time. Usually not a going out for food person I find it strange that service fees are added afterwards so the bill is always higher than you think. I don't like to have to calculate that much.
Read moreAwesome was that they first told me they don't have the vegan pie but then came back a few minutes later and told me they will have some in about half an hour and it was worth the wait. Didn't look pretty as it was still warm but I enjoyed it! The coconut cream was not that great though but could have been a less processed product than some vegan whipping creams.
The staff speaks English but could be a bit happier and smile more, to me they looked a bit annoyed.
When wanting to pay with my Aussie card which worked everywhere else so far it didn't work with their machine, he tried twice. Apparently the internet is unstable. Had to pay cash and he gave me off a few colones.
Pros: Did they best to provide everything requested, Nice location, Tasty food
Cons: Got to add additional fees when judging prices, Machine for card payment did not work

USE CAUTION - Edit
WARNING: They do not understand what VEGAN means. I ordered a bean soup FROM THE VEGAN MENU and it came with a nice freshly cut up boiled EGG. A FULL EGG. I went immediately to the manager who informed me "Oh, for this particular dish you need to ask for it without egg"..........my only wish in life is that I had an infinite amount of palms and an infinite amount of faces so I would NEVER have to stop slapping one on the other.

Fantastic beach views! - Edit
This is a sweet little place for lunch or dinner right on Tamarindo beach. It’s been established since the 70s too! There’s a separate vegan menu with multiple options for starters and mains. We opted for the yucca fries (starter), vegan kebobs and vegan table board - all were good, but sharing them was even better. If I was picking one meal, it would be the kebobs. The vegetables were really nicely chargrilled and it came with simple rods, beans and a papaya hash which was great and added freshness to the dish. The absolute standout for me was the vegan pineapple pie - warm pineapple on a base of halva (sesame seed paste with sugar). Flakey, sweet and delicious... it came with a serving of coconut cream as well! Absolutely delicious.
