Expensive Crap

$17 for half an avo, sliced up with some Tabasco sauce and lime juice. Would not recommend Nobu, not even for the experience.

Japanese fine dining

Came here for a family birthday a few months ago. We opted to try the Bento boxes, and they were able to make the vegetarian Bento into vegan. Very yum, but do recommend booking a few weeks in advance.

Pros: Accommodating and knowledgeable of vegan. , Very yum.

Cons: Expensive.

Fine dining Japanese

It’s fantastic to see that Nobu Perth offer a large vegan range - there were a total of 17 vegan options on their menu at the time of my visit!

The dishes I tried include:

🌱Tofu and Tomato New style: thinly sliced tofu topped with garlic puree, julienned ginger, sesame seeds, chives and yuzu soy, lightly seared with a mixture of hot sesame and olive oil.

🌱Avocado Tiradito: sliced avocado dressed with yuzu and lemon juice, topped with rocoto chilli, soy salt and garnished with coriander.

🌱Warm Mushroom Salad: a variety of mushrooms (shimeji, enoki, shiitake, oyster, eringi) sautéed in olive oil and tossed with yuzu dressing served over butter lettuce and garnished with chives, lime wedge and enoki mushroom.

I found the dishes to be delicate and refined, with lovely fresh flavours and impeccable presentation. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a vegan fine dining experience or if you are staying at the Crown complex. Be sure to book well in advance as it is very popular and there is often a waitlist of a month or more to sit in the a la carte area.
