100 % vegan & homemade with a mission to be sustainable - Edit
I had seen this place recommended in one of the vegan groups on Facebook and noticed that they have 5 stars based on 90 reviews on Google. My expectations were therefore quite high when I decided to venture out to the suburb of Bagarmossen. At first I had difficulty finding the location. It's in an entirely residential area, on the ground floor of an apartment building, and their entrance is accessed via a courtyard. Not being familiar with the area, I had to call them and they were helpful in guiding me.
Read moreOrdering and payment is done through a website via card or Swish. You receive a confirmation email with an estimated time for pick up. There were two picnic tables nearby where I could wait for the food which took 15 minutes. I then rung the doorbell and was handed the food - very covid safe! The food fared well on the journey home although, not surprisingly, it needed re-heating in the micro.
I choose the Sweet N Spicy Chickun served with white rice and a choice of several side salads. I chose the pickled veggies and sweetcorn salad. They make the 'chickun' from scratch with Swedish beans. It had a nice texture but was reminiscent of most other vegan 'meat'. The glaze was good and reminded me a bit of the dishes you get at 'Swedified' Chinese restaurants. Nice balance of sweet and spicy and the sesame seeds added crunch and flavour. I thought the value at 145 kr was alright as the portion was generous and the side salad was included in the price. However I wouldn't say that the food was exceptional, it felt like fast food yet more expensive... I would like to have seen a more interesting option than plain white rice, perhaps an added vegetable or seasoning.
The real winner for me was the slice of carrot cake. Now that I could make the journey for again. Perfectly moist sponge with nuts and spices and a fantastic frosting that had just the right tang. I'm curious to try other dishes, preferably one with a side sauce.
No Bones also do catering and home delivery. Props to them for considering sustainable packaging.
Pros: 100 % vegan, vegan protein is homemade , friendly service
Cons: Difficult to find, a bit on the pricey side, no seating

Ordered a few different dishes and dessert. Food was okay. We ordered a lot of fried stuff which had lost its crispness in the transport. The peanut ball for dessert was really good though! Would probably like it a lot more if you could eat it a la minute.

Ordered the vegan kebab plate, orange chicken, mozzarella balls and peanut balls. Everything tasted great, with the orange chicken as tonights winner! Will be back soon to try some other dishes.
