Horrific

Before writing this review I want to make it clear that I am a chef of 30 years experience .
One item we ordered was a margarita pizza which arrived absolutely covered in a very thick layer of CHEDDER!
I sent it back and asked for an explanation from one chef to another.
I was told that the chef had not had mozzarella for days so they used chedder which apparently is common practice for the Fox and Willow.
Shocking practice and disgusting pizza.
Also one of our wine glasses had a chip in it and wasn't clean so I left my wine too and brought this to the waiters attention.
No apology from the manager or the chef. Both walked passed us whilst looking in the other direction to us so that they didn't have to engage or apologise whilst leaving the restaurant and going home early.
The waiter said it was terrible how we were treated and phoned the manager to ask what to do by way of adjusting the bill.
We were told that instead of paying for the food and a full bottle of wine we only had to pay for the food and 2 large glasses of wine.
This took about £4 off our bill.
This was a horrendous experience and to top it off our dome had a broken zip.
I'm not surprised that they are getting less and less custom. They deserve to lose trade.
We will never return!

Good if you’re vegetarian but not so great if you’re vegan

It was a really busy night so maybe not the best time to make a fair judgement. There is a separate vegetarian/vegan menu but not all the options are vegan. The food I ordered was a bit hit and miss. The buffalo cauliflower taco (starter) was nice but with an insanely hot spicy sauce. The aubergine fritters (Main) were greasy with a pretty poor and slightly strange oriental vegetable accompaniment that was very over cooked. The vegan dessert was heated up in a microwave and overdone and hard. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros: A vegan/vegetarian menu, Good number of vegetarian options

Cons: Not many vegan choices, Food ok but nothing special

Amazing food

I absolutely loved it here, there are great vegan options even several deserts!

I had the bhajis to start, garlic asparagus for main and brownie and ice cream for desert. The ice cream was so creamy I thought they'd make a mistake, but they confirmed it was dairy free and from Vanilla Joe's in Irvine. I'll need to try there!

The menu options and food was even better than some vegan restaurants I've been to, and I wouldn't hesitate in making the nearly hour long journey to go there again, it was great.

Shame I can't give it 5 stars as it really was better than some veggie/vegan restaurants I've been to.

Pros: Great choices on separate vegan/veggie menu, Reasonably priced, Lovely atmosphere

great food

Really great food - had a whole vegan and vegetarian menu, you just need to ask for it. Felt like they really thought about it - wasn’t just an afterthought. Will try to upload a photo of the menu too. Would have given 5 stars but you can’t since the restaurant serves meat.

Pros: lots of choice, great food

Cons: maybe a bit pricy for a quick lunch
