Lotus Pancakes!

Visited here after doing Tamworth parkrun. Menu wasn't super clear which pancakes were vegan but after seeing them on here, and checking, they had a few options and went for the lotus ones - which were amazing! Very good portion size and super tasty.

Cozy cafe

Great little cozy cafe - several vegan options on the menu including savoury options such as avocado on toast and beetroot sourdough and 2 vegan pancake options - lotus and maple. Very tasty pancakes and good coffee

Great experience

We visited here today for an oat milk hot chocolate and an oat milk mocha. We were happily surprised to be offered vegan cream for the top! They had a range of sweet treats/cakes to choose from which were delicious. We'll definitely visit again to sample more of the menu and hope to see some more vegan options on there.

Pros: Oat milk, Knowledge of which of their products are suitable , vegan cream

Cute place

I really loved the idea of this place. It’s cute and cosy. The menu appears simple and uncomplicated however there then appears to be few vegan options. This could be easily amended by using vegan cheese for the toasties. We tried the Avocado toast, Arrabbiata pasta and Pancakes with berries & vegan cream. Overall we thought the portions were too small but that might be our sporty-appetites. They did make the Avo toast interesting with seeds and rocket. They had all the milk alternatives you could possibly want.

Pros: Fairly cheap

Cons: Small portions, Not many vegan options, Uncomfortable chairs

An exciting new place!

I live in Tamworth which is close to places like Birmingham and Lichfield which have great independent coffee houses and plenty of vegan restaurants and options, but this kind of place is really quite unique to Tamworth and I love everything about it. If you’re into good coffee then I’m sure this will become your go to because it’s amazing, and they claimed to have ‘all’ the plant milks which as far as I could see they do - I chose oatly barista ☕️

As for the food, it’s not a huge menu because it’s mainly a coffee house/cafe but what they do have it incredible. I know avo toast can seem like an easy option but it’s so easy to get really really wrong. This was a perfectly fresh avocado on the tastiest fresh slice of sourdough bread with spinach and balsamic garnish, I was very impressed. The daily soup is also always vegan and the day I went it was sweet potato and paprika which was amazing. And of course, the pancakes 🥞😍 my mom and I shared them for a desert after hearing they could be vegan and had berries and maple syrup toppings - they were fluffy and sweet and basically the perfect dessert.

The decor is so stylish and fresh with plants, comfy chairs, exposed brick and nice wooden tables. Absolutely check it out, oh and they have an outdoor seating area too!

Pros: The best coffee and all the plant milks! , Amazing vegan pancakes, A gorgeous environment to hang out

Cons: No vegan sandwich options
