Good - Edit
Atmosphere close to fine dining. Lovely staff. Couscous (plat du jour) had nice seasoning but was overcooked. The portion was crazy massive > easily for two. Brilliant agrume presse of pamplemousse.

Amazing AND Delicious - Edit
We visited during Ramadan, so it was very quiet other than a couple of deliveries. Our lunch was deliciously seasoned and prepared with care. The whole place was spotless, and the menu had so MANY interesting options. My husband and I could NOT choose a favorite dish, and if we are ever in Casablanca again, we will visit again immediately.

Delicious food, lovely restaurant! - Edit
We picked up a meal to go from here before heading to the train station. We both got the chick’n burger (so delicious) the Mac and cheese, lemonade and a cookie to share. Everything was delicious, but the burger was my favorite! They have a small shop also in the restaurant. Took about 20 mins for our order to be ready, which was great!

Best vegan meal in Casablanca! - Edit
There was a lot riding on this visit - being the only vegan place in Casa and the mixed reviews, but it so did not disappoint. It's clear that passion and love have gone into the preparation. So it's not all Moroccan - who cares?! There's plenty of other Moroccan eateries where you can get the standard humous mezze. I came away nourished but not overfed. Will be back!

Worth the trip - Edit
I am glad I took the time to visit this lovely cafe as I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Casablanca is a bustling, busy city but NYIA is an oasis of peace. I had a trio of vegan bastillas followe by a Persian omelette, both absolutely delicious. However, the true star was the pudding - so good. They also have furry friends dozing on the sofas always happy to get a cuddle.

I ate at this restaurant over the course of an entire week and had the chance to try many of their dishes. Everything I tried was amazing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the interior is nicely decorated. They also have WiFi and power outlets.

Delicious but very westernized - Edit
Tasty food. We tried a selection of dishes and enjoyed all of them. Playing was beautiful and ingredients tasted fresh. The squash soup and ravioli were my personal favorites. I appreciated that even the fried food did not feel overly greasy and that everything was flavorful. For dessert I would recommend their pistachio and hazelnut ice creams.
Read moreService was friendly and food came out quickly. Overall, our favorite vegan meal in Morocco.
I do wish they had more local dishes on their menu. We came on a Sunday, when they had no specials, and nothing we had really tasted Moroccan. We could have been eating in a restaurant anywhere in Europe or the US.
Pros: Tasty, Fresh, Friendly service
Cons: Few local dishes/flavors

Outstanding!! 10 stars - Edit
Miya is the only vegan restaurant in Casablanca. The food is absolutely outstanding. You must visit this restaurant when in Morocco. The owner is beautiful and working tirelessly on contributing to a better world. The staff are super friendly and in this city of cat’s the neighborhood cats know they have a safe space wandering through to eat and drink at the cat food station. We just loved everything and the owner being so active in desexing, vaccinating and giving veterinary care to those cats she can is admirable when the odds seem stacked against her. Much respect.

Highly recommend! - Edit
This was the only vegan restaurant I found so far on my trip around Morocco, so I couldn't miss it. There were a lot of options in the menu, from starters to mains and desserts. We tried arancini balls, croquettes, Turkish pizza?, fish burger, and pizza. After so much food, we only had some ice cream for dessert but there were loads of choices. I'd definitely come back if I visit again.
Read moreThe service was also really good, and the manager checked on us and was willing to help out with translating the menu.
Compared to other places in Morocco, I found it very expensive, but compared to what I'm used to in Europe, acceptable. Paid around £40.

Healthy & fresh but overrated - Edit
On first inspection of the menu we nearly ordered 4 starters/sides and 2 mains between two people. One of the sides was unavailable and the vegan “squid” which either comes as mushroom or aubergine depending on availability was aubergine so I passed on it.
Read moreI’m glad we only ordered the dishes we did because everything was incredibly average. As a vegan, spotting such a highly reviewed all vegan restaurant in a country such as Morocco, really got my hopes up.
The arancini was pretty good and a decent starter size. 5 small balls between us was perfect. The flavour of the arancini was lacking but the sauce was delicious. The ravioli sauce on the other hand was a very bland cream and the fresh mint was the only thing bringing any flavour to the dish. This starter consists of 4 pieces of pasta which again, was great for sharing.
“Taco Tuesday” (3 different “tacos”) was definitely not what we were expecting. The tacos are more like wholewheat pittas than tacos. The “tempura” avocado was coated in quinoa so if you’re eating for health instead of flavour then this might be up your street. The cheeseburger also comes with some kind of wholewheat bun which made the whole thing very dry and disappointing. The salad served alongside the burger has no dressing but a little vinegar and sesame seeds which considering you can get an incredible, accidentally vegan, Moroccan salad just about anywhere in this country was a massive let down.
The saving grace to this place was the ice cream. We had the pistachio and the nectarine verbena which were both delicious if not a little overpriced.
The setting is absolutely beautiful and the shop selling artwork, clothes and jewellery is aesthetically pleasing but I wouldn’t come back here for more than a coffee and ice cream. The air conditioning was lovely when we initially walked in but half way through our meal we were both just cold.
All in our two starters, two mains, one dessert and two soft drinks came to £37 which I’d much rather have spent elsewhere.
Pros: The food presentation was beautiful, Stunning shop inside
Cons: Bland, under seasoned food, Expensive, Air conditioning was set way too cold for comfort

Had the “crab cakes”, the risotto and the cheeseburger. Was really good and filling. I wanted to try their “chicken” burger but it was sadly not available that day. Didn’t try deserts but the cookies looked good.

Absolutely delicious vegan food in Casablanca! - Edit
My husband is vegan,(and I am gradually becoming vegan) and on this trip of a lifetime I wanted to make sure he would enjoy all his meals, so before leaving for Morocco, I looked up "vegan restaurants". Niya in Casablanca was amazing, so much that we ate there 3 days in a row, with the rest of the (non-vegan) family on our last night there. We shared most of the starters and meals so that we could taste as many dishes as possible. The small pizza was very tasty, the nachos were crisp and crunchy, well seasoned, the mushroom raviolis were incredible, and soaking up the sauce with the bread made them even better. We had to try the Friday couscous special with its very fragrant seasonings, and the desserts were to die for! Both the vegan and non vegan family members agreed these were some of the best foods eaten in Morocco so far. And they even have a couch for the cat! actually we noticed quite a few clients came in for a tea, dessert and some quiet reading time. The menu seems to change regularly depending on availability of fresh local foods. The mineral water free free, which is not always the case in Morocco. Absolutely recommend Niya's in Casablanca with their very friendly and cheerful staff and so creative chef!
Read moreI read a review where someone complained about the coffee so I thought I would try it. It was delicious, strong, bold, flavourful and the almond milk added and nice smoothness to it.
If you aren't vegan, this is a great way to introduce delicious plant-based food to your diet and discover how awesome it can be!
We were in Casablanca from Feb 15 to 18th, 2023 and highly recommend Niya, 34 Rue Sebou, Casablanca 20100, Morocco.

I got unlucky? - Edit
I had an amazing breakfast here, but also an absolutely awful burger. Looking at the ratings I think I was just unlucky, I'd definitely still recommend it. Still, patty was so hard I'm still not certain it doesn't contain rubber. Could be because I ordered it? Still, how does food get so bad within the span of 10 minutes?
