The height of mediocrity - Edit
The vegan tacos are meh. The salsas terrible. The black beans have dairy in them?? Completely inauthentic and uninspired.

Flavor Bomb - Edit
I ordered take out but the restaurant had a really nice vibe. I ordered a cauliflower taco, an avocado explosion taco and a mushroom taco. All 3 were so flavorful and I would absolutely order them again.

Tacos! - Edit
I loved the ambiance, I was wishing it was date night and we had time to eat on the restaurant. But, I ordered 4 kinds of tacos and we sampled them. My favorites were the ones I ordered, the mushroom one and the avocado one. My partner ordered a potato taco and spicy tofu. It came with chips and salsa. The staff was really nice, I had a great time chatting with them. I told them they need a Happy Cow sticker and they said they would talk to their boss. I love that they have a vegan section their menu. I always feel so much happier when they do!

Delicious vegan tacos - Edit
My partner brought home some tacos from this place and omg the potato and spicy tacos are delicious. The radish on the potato tacos added a great balance. The tacos are street style, simple and well balanced. The shells are light and make for an easy fold when picking up the tacos. The spice on the tofu tacos is not overpowering and gives a mild heat flavor that just adds to the flavor of the tofu and toppings. Overall, the food was tasty and made for a nice light lunch that will leave your tummy full but not bloated. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in or visiting the Roseville area.

High end street tacos - Edit
We tried all 6 vegan options and came to a consensus ranking
Read more1. Mushroom
2. Cauliflower
3. Elote
4. Avocado (was good but have had so much better that it clouded it)
5. Tofu (too dry)
6. Potato
Staff was friendly. Very casual and fairly priced. Cool that it was on the Michelin list.

I agree the other tacos had so much flavor that the avocado taco paled in comparison.

Wonderful vegan option - Edit
I so appreciated that there was a section on the menu that was clearly labeled vegan! I tried 1 each of the cauliflower, avocado, and mushroom tacos. Each one was delicious. It was also a fun experience to have multiple different salsa options put out for us with the chips. If this was going to be an off the charts experience, they would’ve had things like vegan sour cream and vegan cheese. However, because I love vegetables, I was really happy with the vegan selections! The prices seemed fair. The server did his best… But when we went last night, it was really busy and the servers and hostess were doing their best to keep up with the level of traffic through the restaurant. I would really recommend this place! My non-vegan friends loved all the meat options, and I was able to enjoy tasty vegan food…

Ok tacos, ok service - Edit
Update…tacos weren’t as good last time I was there…
Read moreYou do have to ask for the vegan menu…I think it would be cool if the vegan options on were on the regular menu though. At any rate there were 5 vegan tacos to choose from and I went with the avocado explosion, the mushroom, and the corn (they said the elote was seasonal and not available). I would hands down get the mushroom and avocado tacos again…so delicious! The corn one wasn’t bad but also wasn’t anything to write home about. The salsas were all vegan and very tasty as well…the peanut chipotle one was super unique and the best one! The place was packed around 7:30 on a Tuesday night…it was a 30 minute wait but someone cancelled and we got in quicker. We sat for a while before someone took our order. Once we were helped, the staff was great though. So yeah…kind of a mixed bag experience. Would 100% go back again though…just wanted to write a completely honest review.

I gave up on that place when I realized they just put pickled onions on everything and charge a fortune.

Love the tacos - Edit
I loved this place. We ordered the chips and guacamole, so delicious! I haven't had a fried avocado taco since I was in Mexico. We tried a variety of vegan tacos and they were all amazing. We tried the potatoes (they are vegetarian), I wish there was a vegan version.

Ask for the vegan menu - Edit
The crispy papas tacos were the best of three: grilled mushroom, elite, and crispy potato. Once the waitress knew I was interested in vegan, she made a point that the four salsa choices were vegan.

Great looking tacos. Could use more flavor - Edit
In our household everyday is Taco Tuesday. We were out running errands and saw NixTaco nearby. They had a good selection of vegan tacos. We tried all five. The looked delectable, but several didn’t follow through with flavor in all fillings. Our favorites were the cauliflower by far and then the corn. Our least favorites were the crispy potato and avocado. The spicy tofu blended nicely with the potato. A meal takes 3-4 tacos. The staff did a good job taking phone order and curbside service. We would come back again if in the vicinity.

Pretty tacos with no taste - Edit
I sampled a 3 of their tacos and one sope special. It was supposed to be mole mushroom but it tasted nothing like any mole I’ve had. It tasted more like mud. The elote taco was super salty as was the tofu taco. The only good one was the avocado which the cashier suggested. I will say they are pretty, but they are all style and no substance.

I’ve tried all the vegan tacos, they are all wonderful! My faves are potato, mushroom & avocado... I should only eat 3 but order 4 tacos, so good! The peanut sauce is amazing with everything & green salsa too!

It’s all about the Tacos - Edit
When Nixtaco created their vegan menu, they didn’t just modify their existing fare, instead they created five different vegan street tacos that highlight the deliciousness of plants. With chips and salsa, three tacos will fill me up, but I usually order four because they are so delicious. I love all of them but the crispy potato taco with lime almond crema, and the elote with the peanut chipotle sauce are my favorites. Try their fresh agua frescas, too! (It’s counter service and the vegan menu is a separate menu.)
