Small vegan section on the menu, but it's delicious

I really enjoyed my first visit to this restaurant, and I'll certainly go back.

The vast majority of the menu is non-vegan. There's a "Vegetarian" section with three items, including shiro wot (chickpea stew) and misir wot (lentil stew) - I meant to ask the staff whether those two dishes are vegan, but I forgot.

I had the "vegetarian combo," which my server confirmed is vegan by default (no butter used). It's a typical Ethiopian sampler of ten different stews (wots) and pickled dishes, served with injera bread. Everything was delicious. The combo could have easily served two adults.

I'm fairly confident that the combo included both the shiro wot and misir wot, which makes me hopeful that both of those dishes are also vegan. I didn't ask, but based on how friendly and accommodating the staff were, I think they would probably do larger servings of the other dishes included in the combo on request, as well.

The food was amazing. Service was a bit slow since there was only one server for a relatively busy dining room at lunchtime. The plus side is that we didn't feel rushed at all, and we were well taken care of even if it took a few minutes between visits.

This is amazing food at a great price. I'm looking forward to eating here again.

Pros: delicious food, great price, friendly service

Cons: small vegan selection (probably more by request), relatively slow service
