Just terrible - Edit
My friend took me here for my birthday dinner since they have a few vegan options. We will NOT return!!! The teriyaki tofu bowl was absolutely terrible, the bowl itself was 3/4 rice the tofu had some weird breading that did nothing for it, it was super mushy rather than firm.

Vegan food in Ottawa Illinois - Edit
Not a lot of vegan choices to eat at in Ottawa Illinois. Niku Japanese kitchen does have some! Food was very good. They have 3 vegan sushi rolls which we tried. The second time my wife tried the teriyaki tofu bowl and I had the veggie hibachi box. These are the two vegan entrees they offer. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Also tried the seaweed salad and miso soup. New restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was great. Will definitely be going back again! Just a heads up. The sushi that comes in the veggie hibachi box is not vegan but if you ask they should swap it out for one of the vegan sushi’s they have! ❤️
