Lovely cupcakes

These glittery cupcakes are not only cute as can be but also very tasty. Big cupcakes are quite a big but you can share it with a friend or spare the other half in fridge... But in my experience it won't last until the next day, not that these wouldn't be good next day but it's deliciousness most probably will be too tempting to hold it until next day ;)

For a price you must remember the ingredients, the work and that the city is Helsinki and country Finland. So for that I would say the price is good, not cheap nor too expensive.

The only con is that it's a stand not a cafe but then again in Helsinki it's super expensive to have a business premises especially in the hearth of the city.

Pros: Quality, Taste , Cuteness

Cons: only con is that it's stand, not a cafe

Cupcakes!

So sweet and beautiful cupcakes. A good way to promote veganism is to sit down and eat these in front of omnivores.

Pros: Friendly staff, Free tasters, Location

Cons: Friable consistency (in progress), "too sweet, too glittery"

If you like a lot of icing on your ca-ake....

..... join this club!

I visited Niia's cupcake stand in the Forum shopping centre earlier this week. I chose a blueberry cupcake but there were also chocolate, vanilla and chocolate orange available. They look pretty impressive, with edible glitter sparkling in the icing.

Personally, I didn't really enjoy this cake. The whole cake overall wasn't overly sweet, which for me was a good thing but the cupcake itself was tiny, almost sunk in the middle and absolutely full of icing. So much icing. The icing was unlike anything I'd tasted before in the UK - it wasn't sugary and sweet, but had the texture of whipped cream from a spray can.

I thought the selection was a bit limited, all the cakes looked the same but in different flavours.

Pros: open until 9pm - pop by for dessert!, unusual icing texture, cupcakes look pretty

Cons: too much icing, and not enough cake!, 4 euros is a bit steep

Cupcakes

There are two sizes of cupcakes small ones cost 2,90e and biger ones 3,90e. They have vanilla cupcake with coconut or strawberry or blueberry icing. There are chocolate cupcakes with chocolate or orange icing. All flavours are in both sizes. All vegan, thoug tehy are not wery clearly advertising it as vegan (it might scare some costumers off).

I ate an chocolateorange cupcake and got to taste one bite of blueberryvanilla cupcake. Both were good and not excessively sweet. They use wholegrain flour and the cupcake base and has a pleasant dark and rich taste to it. It is difficult to eat the larger cupcake cleanly, but the small looks esy to eat. They give out a napkin with every cupcake. The place is only a stand, so they don't have any seats and there are no seats nearby at the mall so you might have to walk a bit to eat the cake while seated.
