Tasty food, helpful staff - Edit
One of the only places in the area that serves authentic Turkish food with vegan options.
Read moreWe had to explain veganism to the owner and the waiter, so this was a little frustrating (best to say: "we only eat vegetables"). It's always risky when going to new restaurants with a lack of understanding of veganism, but once they knew what we meant we were served some delicious food.
It is best to ask for mezze style dishes. We had fried samphire, an aubergine dish (which was a fav), a buckwheat stew, green beans in a tomato sauce, a lentil soup and an unusual (we think) artichoke dish covered in white beans and dill. The dill made us believe it was a fish dish, but we double checked and it was definitely a vegetable. Delicious!
There were no vegan deserts but the owner brought us out some fresh melon, which was really nice.
All in all this was the only meal we had on our visit to Turkey and it was worth the visit. Just be prepared to explain what you can/not eat, and the friendly staff will help you out.
The location is stunning and the atmosphere, relaxing.
Pros: Friendly staff, Authentic cooking, Location and atmosphere
Cons: Having to explain veganism, Quite pricey for Turkey, The card machine wasn't working, so we paid cash
