Night Market Vegetarian

A simple local thai vegetarian fare. Steps from the night market closes at 5pm.

We went to this place based on a recommendation of a fellow vegan in our hostel.

Friendly staff, but very unreliable hours. We went on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm only to find the shutters closed. When we returned at 7pm, the shutters were open but the display empty and a man sat inside watching TV proclaimed we had come too late, he was now closed for today. Difficult to guess whether he'd been open at all that day. We returned on Sunday at 2pm, this time finding the store open with most food gone but still plenty available to choose from.

The food is Thai, very cheap (3 sides plus rice for 40 baht!), fairly tasty (and fragrant! Something that seems to be hard to come by in veg*an Thai food in Thailand) and completely vegan. There's a little buffet-style display from which you choose your dishes and the staff then serve the food for you. The food unfortunately is not kept hot, nor is is shielded from flies, which begs the question how sanitary the establishment and how clean the food are. But for 40baht, who would complain?!

We left with full and satisfied stomachs and only realised later that our appetite had made us forget to take any photos!

This place, which now has an English sign on the pillar inside saying "Hua Hin Vegan Food," serves up tastier-than-average buffet food. The focus here is on faux meats, but there were greens to be had, too. About half the dishes were quite spicy, but there were three mild ones. The proprietor is gentle, sweet, and helpful. Two big, four-item meals for B140. The only downside was noise: being at an intersection, the road noise can't be helped, but there was also the TV (airing an obnoxiously noisy program), so consider grabbing a table further from the TV. Enjoy! :-)

Really nice owners even though the English is not the best. Good and spicy (also not spicy) food with some options to choose from.

Our favorite vegan food here in Hua Hin. Very cheap, tasty and clean too. Owners are sweet and the place is easy to find. We usually take away because the place itself is not that cozy.

Decent food and good selection even at 16:30 some dishes are warm.
Paid B50 for rice and three veggie stews and a bottle of Sprite.

Only downside is the blunt advertisement for Fish snacks

This is a Thai style local buffet place with a decent amount of food to choose from. It's quite a big place compared to the other veggie shops in Hua Hin. They also sell fresh fruit either whole or prepared. Probably the best in the area. Very cheap here which is great because the western places are pretty expensive in Hua Hin compared to the rest of Thailand.

Really cheap and decent vegan chinese food. Ate there several times at our stay in Hua Hin. Get there early in the day since the food is freshest then and they tend to run out of food by the evening.
