So far I've only tried the eggs and bacon, but we might go back to try more stuff. It was very good and our host was super nice.

Something different - Edit
I ended up here trying to avoid traffic and wanting to try something new. Ended up doing a three way split of Mac & Cheez, Philly cheesesteak, and Loco Moco (my favorite). We wanted the Katsu but they were all out for the day. Cupcakes were good, nothing fancy. Someone else in the party got the flan and was in heaven.

Tasty, but left hungry - Edit
Everything on the menu sounded really good, I ended up getting the Caldereta with rice which said serves 1-2 people (family style). $21 later I left still hungry.

Worth a trek - Edit
Worth the trek to South SF, even for folks based in other parts of the Bay. As noted by others the restaurant has a great ambience. The food choices are awesome- be sure to check out the specials. I tried the loco moco, which was awesome.

Elegant yet cas - Edit
This is much fancier than it appears in the pics. Really great decor and amazing craft in the meals. Go with an authentic Filipino choice like the laing&tocino lunch plate. You will not be disappointed. Very accommodating & patient service from Shannon. She'll guide you to the favorites if you ask! Definitely make this a stop if you're flying in or out of SFO- less than a 10min ride.

This is the best food I've had in my life. Honestly. You HAVE to eat here. I still have dreams about the Philly cheese steak, impossible cheese burger, and flan. Everything was amazing, staff were lovely and accommodating. Would fly back to SF just to have their food again. I loved it so much.

Fabulous restaurant! - Edit
We’ve been here many times for brunch, lunch and dinner. The salads are huge and very fresh. The crab cakes are incredible and the ribs are something I think about almost every day. It’s very hard not to order them, they are so darn amazing. My 85 yo meat eating father in law was blown away by them and kept saying, “this is meat. It cuts like meat, it tastes like meat!” Hahaha the chef is a genius putting jackfruit and gluten together like that. I’ve had quite a few other menu items and they are all very tasty. The desserts, though, are out of this world. Get the ube flan if they have it. It’s purple and smooth and not too sweet. Outrageous. We are so lucky to have Nick’s in our lives!

Great Filipino flavor!! Add the fried egg to anything. Found the adobo to be a bit salty but the texture was great. The flan, my favorite!! Ube pancakes, 👍🏻, lumpia delicious, garlic rice-Wow!

We are from Arizona, and day 1 in San Fran, tried nick’s out for dinner and we were not disappointed! We had the crab cakes and the Carnitas and the Katsu chick’n and the ube flan. It was delicious! My husband is here all week and will definitely be back. I might be back this weekend too…

Filipino treat! - Edit
I’ve never had Filipino food before, but enjoyed this place. We shared two entrees, the chicken katsu and the sizzling sisig. I also got the peach/mango turnover for later. It was a very cute establishment. The servers were nice and offered their recommendations. The food was also quite fast. I would recommend giving Nick’s a try.

Perfect Date Night - Edit
This place is absolutely amazing, that I’m currently sitting in Nick’s to give a review. The customer service is absolutely wonderful. Chef Kenny is amazingly beautiful. He made sure we loved our food, knowing we were first timers. He rolled out the red carpet. I highly suggest this place. I’m such a picky eater and I’m in awe with Nick’s on Grand.

Good if you know what to get - Edit
Get the chicken katsu, katsu curry egg kawali, or sigsig. Delicious. I'm not a fan of they're lumpias or crab cakes, they're just greasy without much flavor. Try the hot sauces on the wall.

Sooo good! - Edit
I had the corned beef silog and my friend had the sizzling sisig. Both were good, but sisig was better. I will have to try the Pancit Palabok next time!

Food: we had the "crab"cakes, Laing and Sising sizzler- all really good! The sizzler and cakes were very tasty. The menu is more towards faux meats if you like that, but also options above are tofu and veggies based

Just delightful - Edit
I was wary about trying a vegan Filipino restaurant, so I brought a friend who is Filipino-American with me as a sanity check. She’s not vegan or vegetarian, but she was absolutely impressed with how good the food was. We’re curious how they made everything! Our top favorites were the crab cakes (with artichoke hearts in the filling), the lechon kiwali (how’d they make vegan pork belly?!), and the ube ice cream in the halo halo. I appreciated that their beer, wine, and sakes are all vegan, too!
Read moreBefore leaving, we made plans to return on a weekend when they have ube pancakes. The only downside was that their terminal was down when we were there, so they were only taking cash or Venmo.
Pros: delicious vegan dishes, ube ice cream, good alcoholic drinks
Cons: no easy public transit access from SF

Lots of food choices, from spicy chickn burgers to authentic Filipino food like noodle bowls!!! Something for everyone. Impressive and would return, but it’s a bit pricey. Ube and leche flan were phenomenal for dessert. Would recommend!

The food was delicious. I like that it was open on Sunday and also close to the airport. It was also easier to find parking than it would have been if we’d been in the city of San Francisco.

Just as good as the first Nick’s - Edit
I took my parents here and the food is great tasting, just like their other restaurant. I hardly ever come over this way, but it’s convenient to the airport, and I was able to find street parking pretty quickly. The service was fast and friendly, and the decor is really cute. This is Filipino and western comfort food, so it’s not really the place to go to if you’re on an oil free diet, but it’s tasty, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Also, the portion sizes are large enough to meet my big appetite.

Great vegan restaurant - Edit
Ate here for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. Decor and atmosphere were great. We had the Sizzling Sisig with a side of garlic rice and the Chick’n Katsu. Both dishes were delicious and flavourful. Has a mix of Filipino and western foods. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!
