We ordered the vegetable claypot dish, grilled eggplant and two sets of steamed rice. The claypot dish and rice came first. The flavour was good, but it was 90% sliced lotus and little measly bits of other vegetables — it would have been nice to have a bit more variety. The grilled eggplant came way after the veggies, and we weren’t sure if the sauce it came with had mayonnaise. What is vegan or vegetarian is not clearly stated on the menu, you will have to ask. In fact a lot of the dishes in the vegetables section has meat, which was a shame because we would have liked to try a lot of them. One noodle dish that is vegan would have been nice as that seems to be what people mostly order and enjoy here. Also there weren’t any napkins on our wobbly table. Maybe your omni friends will enjoy this place. Maybe my expectations were too high because they’re on the Michelin guide, but I feel like you can have better food or at least better service elsewhere. Not blaming the staff, it was pretty busy but it seemed disorganised.
