authentic Vietnamese food - Edit

Best vegetarian/vegan I've been to in three years of living here! Come here once or twice a week and was never disappointed. Banana flour salad is heaven! Also pick up their yummy banh mi in the morning! Perfect

Big restaurant with great food - Edit

This restaurant was unexpectedly huge and fairly modern. The menu was in English but the staff didn't speak much English. We tried mushrooms in coconut, Indian curry and build your own fresh spring rolls, which were all fantastic. It would have been nice to have some other vegetables in the coconut other than just mushroom, but it was still a good dish. Would go back again.

Pros: Great tasting food, Nice decor

Cons: Little out of the way

great food, great atmosphere - Edit

While slightly higher than the average local price (between 50-65k per dish), the plentiful use of fresh vegetables makes these costs quite reasonable. Though the menu offers a typical vegetarian Vietnamese spread, the tastes are anything but. Some of my favorites include the dry noodle dishes (hu tie kho and pho tron) the banana leaf salad (highly recommend) and any of the rolls (fresh or fried).
The dining room is outfitted with a number of natural elements such as bamboo dividers, numerous plants and exposed brick all making for a serene atmosphere. Additionally, the staff is quite sweet and attentive.
I enjoy this restaurant very much and would recommend to both solo diners or large groups alike, so long as you want some delicious food in a very comfortable setting.

Great - Edit

The restaurant itself is very nice, as is the food. We enjoyed a dinner for two with a salad, two main dishes and dessert for 245.000. Every dish was very fresh and delicious. Good value for money, we definitely will be back.

Some nice vegan treats - Edit

The restaurant is new and been in operation a short time. They have some staples on the menu such as banana flower salad which was delicious and a variety of noodle soups, fresh spring rolls and braised dishes. We tried the braised jackfruit which was very good and I enjoyed an organic brown rice milk, creamy, thick and delicious, it almost tasted chocolatey just from the natural sweetness of the rice.

They have a vegetarian banh mi stall at the front of the restaurant I am looking forward to trying. A meal with leftovers for tomorrow cost 2 of us about 300,000 VND including an excellent brown sticky and crispy rice desert with bean and a jug of coconut milk to pour over.

Friendly staff with attentive service and good atmosphere with many locals enjoying the food.
Update** ate here again, the seasoning and flavours were excellent . We ordered banana flower salad a lotus stem salad, bun cha and mushroom and coconut spicy Thai like soup dish served in the coconut : ) Everything was delicious. All our food arrived quickly and the highlight of this meal was a beautiful dessert much like a mango sticky rice but with durian. A must have if you love durian, available seasonally.

The restaurant also does a buffet on new and full moon for lunch and dinner. 150 000 vnd for adults and 90 000 vnd for children. Looking forward to trying ?

Pros: Conveniently located, Easy motorbike parking in the front, Attentive and friendly staff

Cons: Some dishes needed a bit of tweaking on seasoning, much better flavours second time around : )

Fantastic - Edit

Ngộ Vegetarian, short for Giác Ngộ; Vietnamese for Enlightened.

Easy to find as it sits at a corner location off Tran Nao St near the roundabout (south). If coming from Thao Dien, it is located on the left side as you turn right at the roundabout.

Stopped by during breakfast time and they only serve 4 or 5 dishes in the morning, One dish is different each day while the other ones remain the same.

I asked to see their lunch and dinner menu and it was much more extensive.

The food was good, however I found the portions to be a bit small, even for Vietnamese standards. Prices are moderate for Vietnam.

I only had the broken rice dish and spring roll appetizers.

Service was good and staff were friendly, decor very modern comtemporary. Clean and new.

Updated from previous review on 2017-03-01

Pros: Clean, Modern, Friendly staff

Cons: portions small, limited dishes for morning menu
