Chimichanga, nachos, flautas - Edit
This is right next to the other Doomies that serves diner classics. Here we had vegan chimichangas, nachos, and flautas. All were delicious. The chimichanga had such a great flavor and was very filling, and I didn't even add faux meat to it. A bit messy to eat - you can't really pick it up, and the plastic fork they provide is too flimsy for this hefty meal. I took half of it home and reheated it the next day, and it was still so tasty. Their queso is so good. Doomies is the best!

Stodgy and Unappetising - Edit
I hadn’t eaten all day when I tried this place at 7:30pm, so it should have tasted amazing - no matter what it was - but it was so stodgy with no flavor except salt I couldn’t finish it.
Read moreThey’re open til late daily so can only assume they must appeal to drunken stoned vegans.
Pros: Vegan, Open late
Cons: Food wasn’t good, wouldn’t eat here again, Expensive for what it is

Good lunch - Edit
We had a good lunch here. Very little interaction with staff though. Ordered on a screen. No one talked to us. It’s not much to look at from the outside. Food was good. They could do more to connect with their customers.

Carnitas Burrito - Edit
So glad this place is open again. I had to take a second look when I bit into my burrito bc the carnitas was just like I remember minus the grossness of meat.
Read moreI also think it's cool you can add the cheese sauce for free.
I ordered on a website called toast I got off the doommies website. It was ready like in 30seconds lol

Outstanding and Authentically Yum - Edit
I am reeling. This place is still just as good!
Read moreI first visited DNM in 2019 and found their food to be such a gift. Today, their prices have gone up with the times, but not much else has changed, with their food and friendliness remaining consistently pleasing. There is nothing on the menu I didn’t like and their sauces are not at all spicy (except of course the one labeled “spicy”, which was the perfect amount of kick for my partner).
I especially recommend their taquitos. 👌

Casual Dining with Cheap good food - Edit
The dining experience here was very casual with an ordering station you use. I was able to sit and eat while here though and the staff was very kind. I loved the Chick'n Flautas which were crispy and flavorful with some hot sauce of course. I also got the Al Pastor and Carnitas Tacos which had some of the best mock meat I've ever had. I am also pretty sure they make the tortillas in house which were so thick and amazing. The location also had a ton of parking!

Pretty good but heavy - Edit
The tacos are way better than the burritos. The burrito lacked texture. It was just wet on wet on soft. Not super tasty and felt extremely heavy. The taco shells do seem to be deep fried, so they’re a bit heavy and greasy also. The flavors were great though, and the flautas were also delicious. Be ready for a heavy meal here.

Doomie’s NextMex - Edit
Delicious & fast, open late at night, which was great to have delivered by GrubHub at our hotel when we didn’t have a car. Food delivery was a little bit sloppy though & so next time we might go pick it up ourselves (That’s not on NextMex though).

Late night Vegan Taco spot - Edit
I had to get tacos before heading back home. This spot is conveniently opened late, which I appreciated. It's a small spot. You self order at a kiosk upon arrival. I got 3 tacos with rice and beans. I heard great reviews about the fish Taco, which I got in addition to asada and carnitas. The tortillas are homemade. I loved the crispy exterior of the vegan fish. It's made out of artichokes. It's not exactly reminiscent of fish, but you can't go wrong with frying artichokes in a delicious batter. My favorite taco was the asada. It reminded me of carne Asada, crisp chewy pieces of steak smothered in onion, cilantro, lime, and salsa for the perfect bite. My least favorite taco was the Carnitas. I believe it was seitan which I don't love personally. Though it has a chewy texture, I just don't find it appealing. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't get this one again. And the rice and beans were phenomenal, so flavorful. Otherwise, I'm thankful for this late night taco spot and their variety of Mexican classics 😋 🙌

Friendly staff made my day - Edit
Ordered: 6 piece 1/2 Nashville hot and 1/2 Buffalo with fries and a side macaroni and cheese and a jarritos.
Read moreI was having a bad day where everything was going sideways, even opened up my jarritos and I did it improperly and it exploded on my clothing, the staff told me not to worry and helped me clean myself and the floor. They were very patient with me and made sure I had all of the sauces I wanted before I left with my order. Enjoyed the flavor on both chicken styles that I ordered, they were cooked crispy to perfection. The fries were fine, I’m sure the other styled fries were probably more exciting. The Mac and cheese reminded me a little of stouffer’s microwaveable Mac and cheese that I loved as a kid. As mentioned before the kind staff helped me laugh at my day and kept my mood positive. Thank you 🙏🏽
Pros: Nice hot wing flavor options, Wonderful staff

Mixed Feelings - Edit
After trying Nextmex, I have mixed feelings. The food was not bad by any means, but it was not great. We ordered the taquito plate, burrito (no meat, add guacamole and jalapeños), side of fries, and fried capirotada. The taquitos were mediocre… edible but bland. Similarly, the rice and beans were dull and lifeless. My burrito (which was 90% beans and rice since I ordered no meat) was decent, but I was thankful I added the guacamole and jalapeños to give it some life/freshness. It reminded me of Taco Bell, which is not an insult because I like Taco Bell, but definitely not what I imagine when I think of Mexican food. The fried bread pudding was fine as well.
Read moreOverall: I should have researched the portions because they were huge! The person we picked the order up from was friendly, but you order at a kiosk. Some may love or hate that. I have no strong feelings about it. My boyfriend and I agreed that Nextmex would be best after a night out or if you did not compare it to Mexican home/authentic cooking.

Best vegan Mexican I've ever had - Edit
I had the quesadilla with carnitas and had to double-check that everything is vegan here because it tasted and felt like a non vegan quesadilla. My partner had tacos and taquitos that were equally delicious. Highly recommend this if you are looking for quality Mexican food that is also wallet friendly given the area.

Sad Mood, Good Food - Edit
LA Taqueria style American Mexican fast food in a grungy, sad, low-effort impersonal setting. Not a pleasant place to sit and eat.
Read moreAgain with the dystopian robot server who can't answer any questions about what's in the food and I loathe touchscreen menus for too many reasons, dirty disease surface being the first, anti-labor wage theft being the second, time wasting is the third, I'm a luddite who hates all screens (except happy cow obviously) is fourth.
Anyway... expect refried beans and spanish rice, unripe tomatoes and ice burg lettuce with whatever the hell's inside (will never know because: counter staff are stupid robots and not humans) at least these robots likely don't kill many animals; though the screens are defo probably made with gelatin like most flatscreen displays. Oh yea, reason five.
For junky California Taqueria style food, it was really quite tasty, prolly lots of glutamic acids. Totally lame they charge extra for hot-sauces and no jalapeños and carrots like a real Taqueria

Pros: biggest flautas i've ever been served, guava jarritos, yum, open late
Cons: overpriced, extra for hot sauce, boring and bland sides lacking fresh veg, lifeless dystopian robot dining room

Quality feed. Star system relative to all restaurants not just the vegan ones, so despite my notes to the owner, top taste despite the trashy ownership/management.

Best food I've ever had. If I could live here, I would. - Edit
Not just the best vegan food, not just the best Mexican food. The best food I have ever had.
Read moreIf you don't know what you want, get a wet burrito. Carnitas is the best meat in my opinion, but the pastor is also to die for. Their meats, queso (nacho cheese sauce), crema, amd cheeses are all incredible, unrivaled by any vegan or nonvegan versions I have ever had. Servings are large. The street corner it's on also has other great places. Check out Floridita latin dance bar, Dear Bella vegan ice cream, and Doomies Home Cooking.
Pros: Large servings, 100% vegan, The best. Food. I've. Ever. Tasted.

Not bad but not great either. - Edit
I've had better. Also, make sure you are on top of your order. They did not let us know food was ready and it was just sitting on the counter getting cold. Overall meh experience. Not interested in going back. I'll stick to the original location.
