I enjoyed my time here, I got some empanadas (mac and cheese was one), the mac and cheese, and the nachos. The nachos were REALLY good, but the mac and cheese was just okay. The cheese was more so on top and not incorporated with the noodles. It was quite pricy, but the portions were big. The staff was also so incredibly kind.

Very tasty food and very good price quality! We came twice cause we liked it so much. The first day we tried the Platano Power Sandwich and their healthy buffet menu. And the second day we ordered more traditional dishes like the Chofan Dominicano and the Plato Clásico. We loved everything and we were eager to try much more. The patacones were incredible!

Been wanting to dine here for a while & today I finally made it! Cute little spot on the Brooklyn Heights / Downtown Brooklyn border. I was told it used to be more buffet style but now you order at the counter & they bring it to you.
Read moreI had a tough time choosing what to get but eventually settled on the chimi sandwich & an empanada. I also ordered a side of mac ‘n’ cheese. The sandwich & empanada I really enjoyed. The mac was alright but I wish they would have melted the top layer of cheese more into the noodles. This made the dish a bit too gooey for my liking but it still tasted pretty good. Next time I’ll try their mofongo or the oyster mushroom sandwich. Both of those look epic.

Came here again for my second visit (JUN 2024) and had the crispy mofongo plate & this was very tasty & filling. I love that you need a spoon to get all that sauce on the plate. I grew up on plantains so having these as the star of the dish was so nice. Very attentive & friendly staff.

If you choose to dine in, you will receive great service! I got the Philly Cheese Steak, which is really awesome if you’re looking for something greasy. Will definitely come back to try the empanadas and something off of the dessert menu.

Popped in during lunch break from Jury Duty (!!!) after using the app to find vegan food near by and was thrilled to see it was Next Stop Vegan because I've been wanting to try! After reading reviews I decided on the mofongo which on the menu was the crispy mofongo... I had never had this dish before and was excited to try something new that's typically off limits to me because of the animal products. I thought it was very tasty, my favorite part was the fried mushrooms and the sauce was very flavorful. Next time I would do a lunch special I think where you get to try a lot of different items in a bowl, everything behind the counter looked so good! The space was sunny, very cute and felt relaxing to eat there, Latin music playing and lots of vegan love on the walls.

I drove from long island and hadn't eaten all day. All I could do was pray the food lived up to the hype I saw on Instagram. I can honestly say the 1.5 hour drive was worth it! The food was amazing! I had the mufungo with a side of Mac n cheese. The soup it came with was phenomenal! My boyfriend had the twisted burrito. After taking a bite of his food, I ordered one to go! I ordered the empanada but I was stuffed so I'll save it for home. The only thing I will say is it took them a few to take our order. I could've been impatient since I was starving lol but after they were very attentive. I will be going back. They ran out of the Yuka fries and I need to come back to taste those. Make the trip! You won't be disappointed.

Wow. That's all I can say. The food is absolutely amazing. The sweet plantain empanadas are pure perfection paired with Cholula. Crispy. Sweet, salty.. a little vinegary. Amazing. BUT, Y'ALL. THE MOFONGO????? I can't. That was legit the best thing I've had in such a long time. The amount of garlic 🧄 was such a beautiful addition.. the mushroom stew to it paired extremely well and I'm just still dreaming about it. The coconut and bean rice was also extremely delicious!!!! I'd eat that on its own. 😂

This place has a fast-food vibe, but is much better than your typical fast-food place. The venue is clean, roomy, and a comfortable place to hang out. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you. I had a "Twisted Burrito" 🌯that was very tasty and filling, along with a pie--I hope to return next time I am in the neighborhood.

I love the vibe, spirit, and food at this place! They have an amazing menu, but ended up enticing us with plates that were themed around dishes from Latin American countries. We got the Venezuelan plate that had pupusas, which were amazing with guacamole and chicken, a corn fritter cake with melted cheese, empanadas, cheese fingers, and a sweet plantain dish. It was all super fresh and delish. So fun to try vegan eats endemic to Venezuelan cuisine. The plate cost about $30 and was def enough for two people, great for sharing. I am already looking forward to going back to Next Stop Vegan!
