Maverick - 5 Stars - Edit
The Maverick is probably my favorite item from here. They often run buy one get one free on Uber Eats. The shakes are also good (I usually the get the 50/50 blend).

Service was friendly, food came out fast and was delicious, and parking was a breeze - what more could you ask for? We tried the PB cup shake, the cheese fries, smoky mountain burger, and the fried chick’n sandwich. All were amazing!

Used to come here just for the shakes, but the other food growing on me - Edit
I started coming here for the milkshakes. You can get soy based, coconut based or half of each base. I always go for soy since I don't care for coconut and can always taste it. The staff is always friendly. The carne asada chz fries they had this summer were good. And the Crater lake Fishless sandwich, SO GOOD. I had it three times in two weeks. I also like the PubChz burger but it's almost $15! Onion rings and sauces are good, the bacon ranch cluckwich, special style fries, Caesar and Cobb salads, all good in my opinion. I don't mention any of the spicy items because I'm too weak to eat them 😉. The atypical sodas they have on the fountain are nice too.

We ordered two limited time burgers, the Mac attack and Smoky mountain burger, special fries, and two milkshakes. Everything was amazing, especially the smoky burger and orange cream milkshake.

Great, elevated vegan burger chain - Edit
Seems there’s a couple of these around and Happy cow has one location as 2 dollar signs and this as one. They’re very good just definitely not 1 dollar sign. 2 dollar signs.

Next Level 5 Vegan Burger - Edit
As a Level 5 Vegan, I won't eat anything that casts a shadow, so I appreciate that Next Level Burger is all vegan. I ordered the Classic Burger, French Fries, and the Peachy Passion Pride Shake. The burger includes organic dill pickles, lettuce, tomato (which I omitted). It was juicy and flavorful even though I declined sauce. The fries were crispy and seasoned. The shake was made of organic peaches and passion fruit puree blended into non-GMO soy (or organic coconut) soft serve topped with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and a gummy. The peach flavor was subtle, but I still enjoyed it.

So rich, but good - Edit
I got the all American burger with tempeh bacon, onion rings, and a cookie dough shake. The shake was pretty good, onion rings were wonderful, and the burger was just okay.

Great vegan fast food experience - Edit
Fire ChzBurger hit the spot, but the spicy heat was enough that a beverage was in order. So, I was glad to have the Mexican Fire Cocoa Shake, which was very good also.

Cool fast food place down at Hawthorne - Edit
Cool little vegan fast food place at the end of Hawthorne selling burgers, chicken, hotdogs and milkshakes. Oh, and beer. We got a spicy kraut brat, they used the beyond sausage which is pretty good but it was the messiest meal i’ve ever had, it just fell everywhere. Not a big problem, we just ate it with a fork eventually. Good selection of menu

The best burgers we have eaten - Edit
My friend and I ordered some burgers and tots for dinner and wow, we were both blown away. She said it was the best handmade patty burger she had eaten and I thoroughly enjoyed a stacked beyond chicken animal style burger and it was drool worthy. I will definitely be ordering this again!!

Love their sauerkraut brat, sweet potato fries and shakes! I also appreciate that they use paper instead of plastic for the bulk of their to-go items.

There are many better vegan burgers in town where I don't have to look at cringey words of encouragement all over the wall

Just moved to Portland and needed a fast easy dinner to scarf between unpacking boxes and this was perfect. My family and I shared a little bit of everything but the bacon shroomies fries and the spicy chicken sando were highlights.

Great food - Edit
Ordered through the app and while picking up could hear the staff cursing and using the F word in the back. As my 9 year old was with me this wasn’t appreciated. However, the food is delicious- especially the shakes! Grateful for such great, vegan fast food

Nice restaurant - Edit
They have all the tools needed to produce really good food. The toast (point of sale system) is really easy to work with I just think maybe the back of house do not care or do not pay attention to the tickets. For that menu it might have been unique a couple years ago but you can recreate most items at home after a trip to freddys or new seasons. Plant Power fast food blows this place out of the water.

Not quite next level - Edit
Saw all the hype so I decided to checkout it out. It was good, but not great. Shakes, house soda and tots are solid. I’d definitely get those again, but the buns they use for the burgers and dogs are horrible! They pretty much ruin them. They taste like cheap grocery store brand buns. At least toast them or something. Idk, they’re just dry and crumbly. Next time I’d order no buns on anything. Maybe that’ll be better. Staff are super friendly though, so that’s nice. Overall it just didn’t live up to the hype for me.

On my way back from a road trip to Idaho in 2016, I stayed in Portland for two nights at a vegan B&B. I went to the little vegan 'mall', to this place and some other places. I loved this burger joint, but I'm sorry you didn't love it. Have fun in Portland!!! Safe travels!
