100% Vegan Restaurant! - Edit
My first experience with Next Level Burger was in the midst of our most recent snowstorm--thankfully, I was able to order two abundantly-portioned, reasonably priced salads for delivery. I am fond of Next Level Burger's commitment to organic ingredients as well as the environment. While I don't usually eat "fast food," this vegan chain is at the top of my list for the occasional splurge.

Read moreMy beyond burger was much tastier than the beyond burgers I’ve had at other restaurants, both fast food places and sit down restaurants. I think it was due to the seasonings in the burger, the fresh bun, and the delicious sauces (the house sauce and chipotle sauce).
My husband is a meat eater. He only went to Next Level because it was my birthday, and I requested vegan restaurants all day. He loved the chikn bacon ranch burger (he added onion rings to it). He said it was awesome and he could eat there every day. :)
We both loved the shake. I could definitely taste the coconut in it, but that was a bonus because I love coconut. If you don’t like coconut, you can get the soy version instead.
I hope this chain restaurant continues to open more locations. And I hope more omnivores decide to taste this kind of food.
We will definitely keep going back.

I agree that portions seemed smaller for the price, but I’m not sure if that’s our current economy or they’ve always been that way. I enjoyed my meal and left satisfied.
Highly recommend the tots and buffalo sauce on the side. Orange Cream shake was delicious!

Good but way overpriced - Edit
The burger was definitely good but the whole meal was overpriced. Additionally, the burger I got looked nothing like the picture - I did get it delivered so I understand the presentation is affected, but they could at least wrap it up? All the cheese and bacon and tomato was at the bottom of the bag and I had to sloppily pile it back together myself. The fries were good, not bad but not amazing, just good. The seasoning tasted/smelled

That’s probably a preference thing but I don’t care, I have to mention it - I figured it would be either Diet Coke or Pepsi but it’s some awful alternative with a taste I can’t quite place. Considering the large soda was OVER FIVE DOLLARS ($5.45) and was the same size as a McDonalds medium, it was quite sad to pour the whole thing out.
All in all, I would go back and dine-in, but not before I see what else the Portland vegan community has to offer!

Wow this place is so good! By far the best vegan fast food I’ve ever had. We had to come here after having lunch at the Hawthorne location just days before. Ordered off both the Next Level Burger and Clucker menus and our food was somehow even better than our first experience!

We had ordered online pickup but got the location wrong, so the crew member was quick to fix it and re-order what we wanted! We got the Macerick burger and the Beyond fire (spicy) , both absolutely delicious and filling.

However, I may just be used to typical American-size portions.

I've been spoiled by the amazing vegan offerings during my time here in Portland. This ain't it. This is like one step above Burger King at 3x the price. It's the definition of meh. If it weren't for the ridiculous pricing I'd give it 3 stars, but the price combined with low quality bumps this to "nothing else is available so it will do" food at best.

Food quality is next level. I’ve had my share of vegan versions of American classics and this piece has got it figured and nailed it. No more dry, tasteless bean burger and coconut shakes for me. Classic Burger was beyond delicious and Orange Crème Shake was old school good. Friendly staff, clean facilities, comfy outdoor seating, small portions and nice vibe. Just already GO!

Read moreI must say that I liked their attitude with their signage (see photographs) and their use of organic ingredients. They had me at Climate Change. I would have only given this place a 3-star rating due to the flavour of the burger but they get a star just for the signage and the service I received.
The staff person helping me was very good and made some suggestions to fit my gluten-free diet and informed me that they use reusable plates when a person requests them for eating inside.
I chose the mushroom and quinoa burger with a gluten-free bun.
The flavour wasn't really there for me. I am surprised. Where is the boldness in flavour profiles?
I almost forgot, when I was leaving the fellow who served me said something like - "have a good day, Michael." It wasn't overly busy but the person remembered my name and used it in a very nice way.

Excellent choice of burgers and shakes. I choose a burger made with a mushroom and quinoa patty, and with customized toppings. Super delicious and wonderful texture, toasted bun was tasty and complemented the burger. The extensive menu just for shakes will invigorate many, who may be used to a confining choice of vegan alternatives. I finally settled on a shake made with chocolate and peanuts, and it was the best I'd ever had! The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended - I will return for sure.

After trying Monty's Good Burger in LA, I didn't think I'd ever have anything that came close to it, but now I think Next Level Burger has a big edge on them! Once I looked at the menu, I was shocked that a lot of the ingredients are ORGANIC! The fresh ingredients in the burgers and the shakes are all organic.

That was huge because my boyfriend doesn't eat gluten and hasn't had a vegan burger at a sit-down place in years. They even had Spindrift sparkling water (which is purely water and fruit juice - no "natural flavors" added). So I guess you can say this is the healthiest vegan burger place ever.
We had the Maverick Burger and the Chili Cheese Fries. Both were Delicious!! I will be back the first chance I get 😍

i wasn't too hungry so i ordered the kids meal fish filets, it was soooo exceptional that i ordered more stuff: coleslaw, chili, peanut butte shake. all great. killer place for fast food fix. Beyond meat burgers and other types of patties too. Nothing beats Beyond meat.
