Best hummus & falafel I’ve ever had. - Edit
I had a great lunch at Newtown after working out At Brooklyn Training Hall around the corner. I got a hummus & falafel plate with pita and veggies. The dish was super tasty and everything was really fresh . I also had a delicious apple seltzer. I give 4 stars , the best a vegetarian restaurant can get.

Many vegan options and everything is clearly marked. The Baba Ganoush tasted unbelievable and the soup of the day was great as well! I also liked the chill vibes in this place. Highly recommend😄

Two things I love: mouth-watering vegan options and chill vibes. This place offers both, exceptionally. The food is incredible - extremely filling (I almost always have at least half wrapped up) and extremely delicious. It is low-key, with counter service ordering, and they'll bring your meal to whichever picnic table or stool you choose to sit at. Great place to meet up with friends and not feel rushed to leave, or sit alone with a book and your dog - aka great with or without others. I strongly recommend the MASABACHA hummus and SEITAN SHAWARMA. Do note that the menu gets shorter for dinner time (and I've never gone earlier). Follow their instagram if you'd like to catch one of their semi-occasional live jazz music days as they'll post about it there. Don't miss this spot!

Newtown is near my home and it’s my go to take out or eat in spot. The restaurant environment is nice for eating in. The food is a bit pricey but by far the best value and quality in the neighborhood. The quantity of food is high and I always leave full. Everything is fresh and very high quality.

Really affordable prices and good portions. Attentive staff. Table service. Surprisingly large seating area. Open air. Hummus and pita were both amazing. Stuffed grape leaves were medium... Dripping in oil, hard to finish. Would return.

I had the seitan sandwich and my husband had the felafel pita and they were super tasty and fresh! And if you like a good chai, this place has amazing home made chai! New York doesn't have very good chai this this is a gem! :)
